Is this the correct upgrade for my Macbook Pro 13" mid 2010?

your Macbook is rated to go up to 8 Gig however it's memory rating is maxed at DDR3-1600. your selection is for PC3 10666. I would recommend CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple for your system. With this you increase your memory and stay with-in the safety margin of your systems abilities.

Will this work in my Alienware M17x R3 laptop?

I honestly don't know if it will or not.  I had a dell XPS model that I put it in and it worked fine with the memory I had already.

The memory matcher tool on here says it will and that is what I went by with my laptop.

this items matches the specs for my mid2011 iMac 12.2 but says "laptop memory" ... is it the right product for my iMac?

I don't know  - I used this in a Dell PC.   however - if the memory matching tool indicates a match, it probably will.    Things are packed pretty tight in an iMac so ...

I installed this in an ACER 7740 (series) notebook: Model MS2287.
This RAM does not work in any combination of slots or individually.  I have confirmed CMOS sees it correctly, but my existing Windows 7 hard-drive crashes to mem-dump and when I booted from a Windows install CD that crashes to same.  I have re-installed my existing RAM and everything works fine.  This is either incompatible or defective.  Can I return it, please?

ADATA is good memory, but Intel shifted gears a year or two back and the current rage is a cooler-running low-volt standard.  Memory that is built for 1.5 volts only behaves badly if the CPU provides 1.35 volt.  You might see BIOS screens but no OS at all.  This gotcha is a bad one because few companies use the correct JEDEC nominclature: DDR3L for 1.35v.  Some memory is DUAL volt, so go figure.
