If this doesn't work for my computer is there any chance in returning?

Newegg is usually pretty good about such things. I'd advise you to look at your manufacture's memory specifications and order that type of memory. I cannot speak for Newegg, but in my experience in dealing with them, they stand behind their stuff and are interested in seeing the customer is happy.
