i want to put two of these into my Dell XPS 430. Will they work?

No they will not. The dell XPS 430 only supports 4 gigs total across 4 DIMMS(memory slots) So you can only put 1 gig of ram per slot for a total of 4 gigs. Also the XPS 430 only supports 1066 Mhz DDR3, this is 1333. Now you could use 1333 but it will only run @ 1066. But what is the point of paying for a faster speed and being unable to use it? If you are using the original 32 bit operating system then 4 gigs is the most memory the OS will address. If you still want to upgrade your memory then you need to look for a 4 gig kit...(4) 1 gig sticks of PC3-8500 1066Mhz. Try to find the ram with the lowest latency, the lower the latency the faster the memory will be, happy hunting!

so a couple statements/questions:
any processor using lga 775 is ddr2...
where did you get the idea that processor was 3ghz?  it's only 2.4

the module ur asking about is ddr3, so it won't work.

It appears that mobo is set for ddr2.

The module you selected here is ddr3.

Although, the pin configuration is similar, 240. The memory sticks cannot be fit, like a ddr2 in a ddr3 or vis. versa.

I'd highly recmmend g-skill. I have a stick in the process of being delivered right now. You only gotta find a ddr-2 version of the memory, which is still a solid option for gaming and what not.

I already own the G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) (Model F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL)   I wanted to buy just one more stick to complete the duel channel will this work?

As long as the speed of the new ram is equal in speed or faster. This will work but it will slow the rest of your ram down. Find a 12800 stick. Hope this helps.

i did a quick search and it appears your computer requires ddr2 ram. So no, this ram wont work.

The memory should be compatible. I think it should work in dual chcannel mode (two matching memory sticks in correct slots on mobo). I'm not sure if this comes down to the class latency (cl), or if it only has to match by model type, ddr3 pc1066 4gb same manufacturer.

This wasn't compatible with my Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS. Is there any excellent 4Gb to 8Gb RAM that would be compatible?

Go to the corsair website and run the memory scan that's on there. It'll return a list of suggestions; I bought the 4Gb memory...now running 8Gb altogether. It works; no issues.
