Question 1

So this might be somewhat of a dumb question, but in the description it doesnt say it's compatible with a 2011 socket. I just bought a P9x79 2011 Mobo, with a 3930K CPU, will this work with that and I'm just over thinking it? Thanks

the 2011 is the CPU socket not the memory
think of ddr3 as the memory socket. the max speed of 1600 also is something to consider but not a requirement to match

In any case I checked the specs on the MOBO and CPU and you're good :)

I have all the same numbers but would like to add more memory is this compactable with Ares in 2x4 where there is 4 slots? Thanks David

As long as the timing and speed match (9-9-9-24 @ 1600), then it should work fine together. Mixing pairs is always a slight gamble, but I had luck adding this same set to my existing RAM.

Question 3

Is it ecc? Is this desktop only memory, or ecc server compatible?

It is not likely ECC (at least nothing in the spec stating such) and typically RAM labeled desktop memory are unlikely to be ECC. Whether or not your server can use it depends on if it can use non ecc memory (this depends on the board, bios, chipset, and cpu). If you are wanting to use this in a production environment I would not suggest this even if your system supports non ecc memory, otherwise I would say there is no reason not to use it (barring any technical requirements) as ecc is most useful when you have very large amounts of RAM and the cost of failure (downtime) greatly outweighs the cost of resolving any service interruptions (data corruption in RAM which can usually be fixed by a reboot and is very uncommon which is something I have seen less than 1/2 dozen times in 10 years in this industry).

Assuming you mean the optiplex 3010 (In future you should include family + model information)

According to the spec sheet on dell: 
Memory: Two DIMM slots; Non-ECC dual-channel 1333MHz and 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM, up to 8GB

Question for customer...
In the Overview it says in the end that "dont mess up with other rams".....but when i put parts in pcpartpicker it dowsnt show me nothing about it....
i have 2x4GB ballistix sport XT
and i want to add 2x8gb of ths sniper gaming....can it fit??

That configuration will work, but you will want to make sure that you put both 8gb sticks in one channel, and the 4gb sticks in the other channel. Many motherboards color code the channels to make it easy to match.
Also keep in mind that you should use 1600MHz RAM for the other pair as well, or the higher clocked RAM will have to slow down to match.

Nope you need ECC unbuffered DDR3 memory.
These are nonECC ram.

For ECC ram get Crucial brand.

From the hp z420 spec sheet:

hi- checking compatibility with Asrock MOBO z77 extreme 4.  also if this RAM is fine with that MOBO. Can I get 2 sets to total 32 GB? OR should I find a 32 GB set.
