I have 2 sticks of (G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GSR) in my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R.2 Motherboard. I have an 8 Core AMD FX8350 and have two high speed hard drives (Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB) and (Seagate Desktop SSHD 2TB)... I'm Planning on adding a (SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 256MB SSD) to keep OS on... At any rate... I wanted to know if what the difference would be in getting to more identical RAM sticks (the ones mentioned at the top), as oposed to getting a whole new kit... Namely the (G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10Q-32GSR)... I am running Windows 8.1 and I edit and create massive Audio files... Which would work the best and why? Thank you for the help!

The only difference is its double the amount of ram the speeds are the same, threading is the same. It will come down to the board and operating system. (Win 8 sucks) most boards support up to 32 gb but there are boards fpr But win 8 will only use 4 Being in x86 bit and 128gb in standard win 8 x64 bit. There is 1 board that supports 256 gb of ram ($800). Processor matters too
