Yes, however it may not be optimal working with the 4GB that is already in the machine. Ideally you want the RAM to be a matched set so that both sticks have the same timings and operate smoothly in dual channel mode.

To know for certain, go to crucial .com and click on memory scanner.  Let it install and it will tell you for sure if that is the type of RAM you need and if your Motherboard can handle the capacity.

will it work in a E8400 HP 8000?

If you're meaning the HP-Compaq 8000 Elite PC, then yes this memory module will work in it. However, the memory module will only run at 1333 MHz and not the 1600 MHz this module is rated at.

I also don't recommend mixing and matching different memory modules as it can lead to problems.

If you can find some 1333 MHz DDR3 modules (PC3-10600) for a cheaper price than this module, I'd getting those instead.

I have an old computer with an intel motherboard LGA775.  Will this work in that machine?  It came with 1gb of kingston memory model KVR667D2N5.  thanks for any help.
