Will it work with MSI X99A Mpower Motherboard?

The X99 chipset is mature enough by now that I think with any recent BIOS this memory will most likely work with any X99 motherboard that has 8 DDR4 slots. You could consult the websites or sales staff of G.Skill and MSI to be more certain. Be aware that no motherboard is likely to be able to run this kit at 2800 MHz, and that is not the fault of the board or the memory, but a limitation of the memory controller built into your CPU. Even the best X99-compatible CPUs require overclocking their built-in memory controller to take DDR4 kits into the upper third of their rated speed. In addition it is even more demanding on the controller, electrically, to drive all eight slots at higher speeds. On my ASUS X99-E WS, a famously stable and flexible board, I can run this full kit at 2400. If I try for 2666 I have to greatly relax the latency timings and even then one or two sticks won't pass POST. 2800 is out of the question unless I drop half the kit.
