Is it compatible with ASUS MAXIMUS VIII HERO ? PLEASE ANSWER. thanks

It is a multi-step process. The ONLY way to be partially certain is to visit the G.Skill website, enter the model number of the series that interests you into the search bar (upper right hand corner of the webpage), press Enter, click on the search result, scroll halfway down the result page, select the "QVL" tab, look for the manufacturer of your mobo, ex. ADRock, ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, et al, and if there, click on the drop down arrow to reveal which boards G.Skill has tested with your selected RAM.  But, just because it's been tested by G.Skill doesn't mean that your board will work.  You still have to ensure that your board has the most recent BIOS.  And even then, while the RAM may function in your board, without the appropriate CPU, you may not (or may) achieve the RAM's advertised specifications.  Best way to know/test is the read G.Skill employee responses to any of the negative reviews posted here for very clear instructions on testing individual sticks.

1.75 inches tall from highest point to lowest not installed the width shouldn't matter they fit side by side in my bored but make sure your motherboard supports the speeds I could only get mine up to 3336 my motherboard is rated 3200+ so I sold them and got a set of 4 8 gigs with lower speed and better latency
