Probably Not. This is full height ram intended to be used in a desktop. Most laptops I'm familiar with use smaller SO-DIMM ram designed for smaller computers such as laptops.

Depending on the laptop, you might be able to access the ram from underneath and check the size.

You should consult your motherboard manufacturers website for specifics on what RAM has been tested with your motherboard to work. To find out your motherboard go to cpuid dot com and download CPU-Z it will tell you everything you need to know about your PC for upgrades.

Here's what you have to ask, does your DELL have DDR 3 memory? If you answered yes then you can use this but you can't mix it with what you already have. Why? Because it may not be the same speed. So you have to remove your old memory and replace it with this. If your current memory is the same speed then you could use them together, You can use different size modules as long as they are the same speed and voltage. Try to match the voltage of the memory with the voltage of your processor. DELL motherboards are made to their spec's and they used to be made by FOX CONN and they do that so you have to by upgrades from them but memory you can change or the video card you can upgrade and sometimes the processor.
