Compatible withMid 2009 MacBook Pro with 2.53 processor 8Gb Ram?

I installed these drives in two MacBook Pros but don't remember the specifics. One was an older "MBP 15/2.2 CTO" delivered in Jan 2008 and the other was a later uni-body MacBook Pro but I don't have access to it right now to check the specs. I think it is about 3 years old. I did this about 2 weeks ago. The drives seem to be working as they should. As you'd expect, the file I/O is significantly faster. I noticed a significant difference but the users didn't seem to sense a big difference in they overall experience but most of their use is internet browsing and small file access. iPhoto performance was a lot better (as you'd expect). Overall I'm pleased with them. If I was only using them in these laptops, considering the user reaction, I could have bought a slower disks, maybe a hybrid. In the long run I will reuse them in a mac mini which is why I went for this one.

Question 2

Just how do I "move" my Win7 64bit OS (running on a SAS drive under an Adaptec controller card in a PCI-e slot) over to this SSD plugged into a Mobo SATA controller?

First off, clean installs are good, but completely necessary . . . I've been cloning for years without any problems. If it was necessary to to do a clean install, they wouldn't make upgrades to the next OS.
Secondly, it sounds like you have 2 separate PCs. If so, you could definitely put connect both drives to the same PC and clone them, but the newly cloned drive will not work in 2nd PC unless the Mobo's are identical. The newly cloned drive will have all the drivers, etc. for the hardware in the PC with the Adaptec Controller. If everything is in the same PC, you can clone it.  If not, you will definitely have to do a clean install, which means you would have to buy an additional liscense unless you are replacing the 1st PC with the new one and Microsoft or the Apple/Mac people will allow you to use the previous OS on the New PC.
