is team elite memory have a heat sink on it?

This memory has heat spreaders on it. Its a thin sheet of metal that conducts heat away from the memory chips. It arrives as pictured on newegg.

Functionally, heat spreaders perform the same task as heat sinks. However, heat spreaders tend to perform worse (they aren't as large as heat sinks), but their low profile allows memory to be installed in consecutive slots, or allow large CPU heat sinks to "clear" the memory.

Question 2

Is this dual-ranked or single-ranked?  Will it work in the Biostar TH55B HD motherboard?

dual.  check your motherboards ram support list at the mb's manufacturer's website.  even if it's not listed, odds are it will work.

Question 3

Will this work on an HP 8000 elite? Board supports 1333Mhz cl 9 or 1066Mhz cl7. I tried 1600Mhz cl9 and the motherboard rejected it. Have read the elite has a picky motherboard and finding memory to work is difficult. Not too sure if that's so true however i know it won't clock 1600 down to 1333.

MLepine, did this RAM end up working on your HP Elite 8000 SFF ? I have been having the same issue with finding a RAM type that will be supported by the motherboard.

is this compatible with DDR3-1066 / 1333 ?

It is not suggestible to mix ram modules and if you do get it to work it will be limited to the slowest module settings.

Does this use high or low density chips?

I have a pair and I believe more or less all DDR3 are low density, I cant actually recall seeing any high density RAM since DDR1 days. As far as I know these are low density.

Do these use low density or high desity chips? I am having compatibility issues with my MB.

This is Non-ECC RAM. Most RAM if it is ECC, it is quite blatant in stating it in the description, and most often is listed under server RAM.
