How do I find the model numbers on my imac?

Go to the Apple menu (upper left hand corner) and select "About This Mac".  In the window that pops up, click on "More Info...".  If you're on Mavericks, a new window will open that has some overview information (including the "Mid 2011" or whenever your Mac was made).  If you need the Model Identifier, click on "System Report..." in that window, and on the Hardware pane (have "Hardware" highlighted in the list on the left side of the window) you'll see the Model Name and Model Identifier listed.

If you're not on Mavericks, the process is similar, but I believe the "More Info" button leads directly to the System Report (if I am recalling correctly).

If you're having trouble figuring out which RAM you need to buy, Crucial has a handy tool that might help you out.  I'd link, but Newegg doesn't want me to.  I found it in the sponsored links when I googled "what ram works in my mac".

Question 2

I have a MacBook 13 inch, MID 2007.  Is this RAM compatible?  I am installing it myself.  Is it simple?  Thanks

I put it in a 2007 iMac, and it was very easy to install myself.  I would expect you should be able to do it quickly and easily.
