    * Requires overclocking/BIOS adjustments. Maximum speed and performance depends on system components, including motherboard and CPU.

Flare X5 is a performance DDR5 DRAM memory series designed for compatible AMD platforms, featuring a simple and clean design in matte black or matte white, and a low-profile module height at 33mm.

    • 33mm Low Profile Module Height
    • Dual OC Profile Support: Intel XMP 3.0 & AMD EXPO™ Memory Overclock Profile
    • Do not mix memory kits. Memory kits are sold in matched kits that are designed to run together as a set. Mixing memory kits will result in stability issues or system failure.
    • Prior to enabling XMP or EXPO, memory kits will boot at the SPD speed at default BIOS settings with compatible hardware.
    • For memory kits with XMP or EXPO, enable XMP/EXPO/DOCP/A-XMP profile in BIOS to reach up to the rated potential XMP or EXPO overclock speed of the memory kit, subject to the use of compatible hardware. Enabling XMP or EXPO is an act of overclocking and requires BIOS setting adjustments.
    • Reaching the rated XMP/EXPO overclock speed and system stability will depend on the compatibility and capability of the motherboard and CPU used.
    • Usage in any manner inconsistent with manufacturer specifications, warnings, designs, or recommendations will result in lower speeds, system instability, or damage to the system or its components.

Refer to the G.SKILL memory kit QVL on the G.SKILL website to check motherboard compatibility.

The G.SKILL Flare X5 is a 128GB (2 x 64GB) DDR5-6000 desktop memory kit with CL34 timings and AMD EXPO support, suited to gaming and enthusiast PCs that need high memory capacity and speed.

    Recommended For

    • After Effects and video editors working with complex compositions or 4K-and-higher projects who want 128GB of system memory for larger previews and simultaneous creative apps.
    • Desktop workstation users running several virtual machines or development environments at once, where each environment needs memory alongside the host operating system and everyday tools.
    • Creators and technical users handling large datasets, high-resolution assets, or memory-intensive AI and workstation tasks who need more capacity than a typical gaming or desktop build.
    • Builders seeking a 128GB, two-module desktop kit who prefer a low-profile, non-RGB look and are prepared to check their motherboard and CPU support for the rated memory profile.

    Real-World Use Scenarios

    • When editing 4K-or-higher video or building complex After Effects compositions, the 128GB capacity can provide room for larger projects and other open apps before memory pressure becomes a constraint. It is extra headroom, not a guarantee of faster exports; the rest of the system and the project determine performance.
    • When running several virtual machines for a development or networking lab, users can assign more memory across the guests while retaining room for the host operating system and everyday apps. The practical benefit depends on the number of VMs and their memory needs, as well as CPU and hypervisor capability.
    • For 3D visualization, animation, or memory-heavy simulations with large scenes, textures, or caches, 128GB can help keep more of the working set in system memory and reduce the chance that capacity limits interrupt the workflow. It does not replace a capable CPU or GPU, and some projects may need more memory.
    • In a mixed-use PC for gaming, recording or streaming, and occasional creative work or development, the capacity can leave more memory available for background tasks running alongside a game. For gaming alone, 128GB should not be expected to increase frame rates; compatibility and the CPU, GPU, and software workload remain important.
