    * Requires overclocking/BIOS adjustments. Maximum speed and performance depends on system components, including motherboard and CPU.

IMPORTANT: NOT COMPATIBLE with platforms or systems using Intel® Core™ Ultra 100/200 processors or Intel® 800 series chipsets.

Flare X5 is a performance DDR5 DRAM memory series designed for compatible AMD platforms, featuring a simple and clean design in matte black or matte white, and a low-profile module height at 33mm.

    • 33mm Low Profile Module Height
    • AMD EXPO™ Memory Overclock Profile Support
    • Do not mix memory kits. Memory kits are sold in matched kits that are designed to run together as a set. Mixing memory kits will result in stability issues or system failure.
    • Prior to enabling AMD EXPO, memory kits will boot at the SPD speed at default BIOS settings with compatible hardware.
    • For memory kits with AMD EXPO, enable EXPO profile in BIOS to reach up to the rated potential EXPO overclock speed of the memory kit, subject to the use of compatible hardware. Enabling AMD EXPO is an act of overclocking and requires BIOS setting adjustments.
    • Reaching the rated AMD EXPO overclock speed and system stability will depend on the compatibility and capability of the motherboard and CPU used.
    • Usage in any manner inconsistent with manufacturer specifications, warnings, designs, or recommendations will result in lower speeds, system instability, or damage to the system or its components.

Refer to the G.SKILL memory kit QVL on the G.SKILL website to check motherboard compatibility.

The G.SKILL Flare X5 F5-6000J3038F8GH1-FX5 is an 8GB DDR5-6000 desktop memory module with CL30 timing and AMD EXPO support, suited to compatible AMD-based performance or gaming PCs that need a low-profile memory option.

    Recommended For

    • Owners of a compatible AMD DDR5 desktop replacing the same 8GB Flare X5 module; check the motherboard’s memory list and match the existing memory configuration before buying.
    • AMD DDR5 system builders who need a temporary single-DIMM setup and plan to move to a matched, higher-capacity configuration; one module can serve as a stopgap, but is not the preferred final setup for best performance.
    • Compact AMD DDR5 desktop builders with tight CPU-cooler clearance who need a low-profile module, provided they have a separate plan for adequate total memory capacity.

    Real-World Use Scenarios

    • For a compatible AMD desktop used mainly for web browsing, email, documents, and video streaming, this 8GB module can support basic everyday use; keeping many apps or browser tabs open may leave little memory headroom.
    • When building a compact DDR5 desktop around a supported AMD platform, the module’s low-profile design can help with CPU-cooler clearance; check the cooler and motherboard dimensions before assembly.
    • On a compatible AMD system, a builder can enable the module’s EXPO profile in BIOS to target its rated memory setting; the final speed depends on the processor, motherboard, BIOS, and memory configuration.
    • For a planned memory upgrade, this can serve as an additional module if the system supports it, but confirm compatibility and the resulting total capacity; 8GB alone offers limited room for demanding games or heavy multitasking.
