Yes, and especially yes if your motherboard will allow you to park em at 2400 Mhz and set the proper timings and voltage for that speed. In the box they come in or on AMD's website you'll find it says that when you plug them in they default to 1866 / 13-13-13 / 1.5v . So you'll have to adjust the speed / timings / voltage accordingly in the BIOS if you want/can run them at 2400 Mhz. I have a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 ( unfortunately rev1) and using its profiles in the BIOS to get to 2400 sets others things at some insane values so I had to set everything manually. Loving this RAM though. 100%

the motherboard i have says it supports 2400(O.C) DDR3 unbuffered non-ECC ram will this be compatible with it? i have a Asus A88XM-PLUS motherboard?

Gus, this RAM should work with the mobo you listed.

Whenever you see (O.C) in the section of compatible RAM on motherboards it means that the BIOS/UEFI will allow a user to overclock the DIMM to support a higher speed RAM chip.  In your case, it looks like your motherboard will support from 1333 to 2400.  Keep in mind that you will have to manually adjust these settings in the UEFI to use this RAM at the 2400 speed, otherwise it will only run at a speed that has native support (1333/1600/1866/2133).

I have this same set of RAM paired with the APU-7850k 3.7Ghz and wow!  You can really see the difference when the R-Series memory is paired with the APUs, especially if you use the RAMDisk software (you'll have to get that from AMD).  If you're planning on using an APU then I would highly suggest using this RAM.

Yes, AMD Radeon memory is most certainly compatible with motherboards that have AMD chipsets and AMD processors. Just make sure your processor can handle the speed of the RAM i.e. a Phenom II will not go past DDR3 1333 (DDR3 10600). If you have an FX processor you can use DDR3 1333 and above.

Yes, I'm using it with A10 5800k.  I chose this because APUs use system memory for graphics so I wanted fast memory that wouldn't bottleneck the graphics and that supported AMD's custom memory profiles.  Don't forget to enable the memory profile in your motherboard bios.

Is this compatible with ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0?  I have 2x4 g.skill sniper 2133, would it work to combo those? 2 and 2?

This RAM should work just fine with that board.  This set of RAM is designed to compliment the AMD A-Series CPUs, but it will work fine with any motherboard that accepts DDR3.  One thing you want to keep in mind, though, is this RAM has a native clock speed of 2400, while the motherboard you have only supports up to 2133 speed (and only by overclocking).  This RAM chips will work together with your g.skill, but it will have to be down-clocked to 2133 and you won't be able to use Dual Channel mode.  My suggestion, if you're looking to add more memory, is to purchase a full kit (eg... (4GB, 8GB, 16GB) instead of using different chips from different manufacturers so you can get the best performance out of your system.  Keep in mind your motherboard limitations!

I have a few questions that need answer's...or i could just google it..here is my specs TA970/mobo...8350-black-8core-125watt-140watt..w/turbo on 4.2ghz-5400mhzFSB....main hdd is a ssd mlc/530read-500write thats is Mb/per,sec...ever other component probly has nothing to do with what i want to know about with this item.. First "Q" what is "ram disk"? is it some kind of main file/kernal storage to load faster? and would that interfere with my ssd...before i buy id like to know if you can disable "ramdisk" don't need or want it, comp, already starts in about 4sec or less after completly shut down, and every game or software starts instantly. seriosly, assissins creed4, battlyfield4, no loading screens at all, it will flash the loading screen for a split sec, or maybe 1or 2 sec max. so as you can see everthing is setup custom and everthing is AMD so would adding amd type of ram mess things up? aslo what is "APU"? also i see it says radeon r9, but i have a radeon hd 7870, does it need or work better with a R9? my best guess is it may use similar ramdac used by the r9 270 series. but that makes no sense if made to install in a DIMM slot. last most important need to know, my ta970 supports 2000mhz but always has "OC" near the 2000 speed, so my question is, does that mean you need to install 1866 and oc it to 2000? or can i get like 2133, 2400 and hope they are downward compadable?

an APU is an "accelerated processing unit". It contains both a GPU and CPU on a single. Great if you wish to use HSA and accelerate applications using GPU power. Its the future of processing and give low power for basic (non-3D) GPU functions such as watching 1080p video. But don't let that fool you, an A10 kaveri APU has been proven to be acceptable for mid-low level gamers. Crossfire with an R7 250 and you are in business for a cheap gaming machine. RAM speeds are CRUCIAL for APU performance. The faster the better! As for a RAM disk, it essentially a partition of RAM that is used like temporary Hard Drive space. When something is needed to load quickly and stay in Memory RAM disks can be useful reducing wait time for the Hard Drive which is the main bottle neck of computers today.

It is easier to Downclock RAM vs OverClock it. Overclocking isn't a good idea for a beginner unless you are using XMP or AMP to achieve it.
