will this work with a playstation 3?

One of the issues with the HDD for a PS3 is that it has to be under 9.5mm thick to fit. When you get into higher capacity HDD it may be thicker then 9.5mm. I would stick with something in the 500GB range unless you are certain that it is not thicker then 9.5mm. I would also stick to a 5400rpm drive due to some people experiencing heating issues with drives running at 7200rpm. Hope this helps with your question.

Will it work in a Dell Inspiron 3000 laptop? It take a very thin HDD, I am having a hard time finding a 1TB that will fit.

Not likely, as the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 uses a Seagate 'Momentus Thin' drive: seagate com / docs / pdf / datasheet / disc / ds_momentus_thin.pdf which is 7mm thick. Most laptop drives are at least 9.5mm thick.

Does this Hard Drive come with a windows 8 option?

Not sure what you mean by 'a windows 8 option' but this hard drive is blank (no OS, no partitions, no MBR or EFI table, etc) when it arrives. It is compatible with Windows 8 and any other OS that is compatible with SATA storage devices.

Just want to make sure if you check the bad sectors before? I mean the refurbished one has no bad sectors.

No, I did not check that. I can tell you that it has worked flawlessly for me since I got it. It is my Mac's Time Machine drive, and is connected all the time. I have never had any downtime with it.

Question 5

Is it 7mm or 9.5mm? 
"Overview" tab says 7mm, "Specifications" tab says 9.5mm thick.
If it's 7mm thick, does it come with some kind of insert for me to install in my laptop which uses a 9.5mm drive?

If your laptop fits a 9.5mm drive then this will fit. that is just the thickness of the drive. The only thing that really matters is the form factor. I suppose some ultra books probably only fit 7mm but you should be fine. I swapped out the superdrive out of my MacBook Pro to install this with a special insert.

Question 6

Will this drive fit in a Hp Pavillion dv9500 laptop?  The connections in the laptop require fine wires on the drive that slide into the connector.  This is not a standard SATA connection. Thanks for any help.
