Is this a mechanical Keyboard?

No- I can verify that this is not a mechanical keyboard.  I just had mine pulled apart to clean some sticky keys due to a spill.

Does the Razer DeathStalker Expert Gaming Keyboard have Cherry MX Brown or Red switches???

Im not entirely sure on this one. But after using it it feels like brown. They are harder to press than an apple keyboard and they have a nice solid press. The chicklet keys are nice and flush with the board and it sounds like a dream even with chiklet keys. I hope this helped.

No its a membrane keyboard, Razer Black Widow keyboards are mechanical.

Are you able to change the backlight color of the keys like the Deathstalker Ultimate?

No, you can only change the brightness

I believe they are dimmable if you install the Razer synapse program.

it plugs into USB but it has none on the keys anywhere for auxiliary function.

Has anyone found a game this Keyboard is NOT compatible with??  I would presume not with the OS list, but what they say about assumption is right.  So I'd rather ask ahead of time.

So far this keyboard has worked with my collection of both games and across multiple OS platforms. In Windows, the keyboard can defaults to a original configuration as a normal keyboard without the convenience of switching to a gaming central. With the Razer software, configuring particular bindings and shortcuts is a breeze. Of course, what a keyboard can and cannot do ranges between the user and the users experience; especially software.

I'd approximate roughly 4 feet: more than enough to use comfortably at your desk. Although if your setup is crazy enough to where this question is a legitimate concern, I'd suggest going with a cordless keyboard.

How does the palm rest feel on your wrist after extended use?

feels about the same as any matte plastic wrist rest.  it grips the skin a little better but Its not uncomfortable at any point.  best keyboard I have ever owned by far.
