The Razer BlackWidow V4 X is a full-size, wired mechanical gaming keyboard with clicky Razer Green switches, six programmable macro keys, and per-key Chroma RGB lighting, suited to PC gamers who want tactile feedback and quick access to custom commands.

Recommended For

  • PC gamers who want dedicated, programmable keys for frequently used commands, including MMO or strategy-game macros.
  • Gamers and typists who specifically enjoy a pronounced tactile bump and audible click while using a desktop keyboard.
  • Players who want a full-size layout with a number pad, media controls, and a volume roller at a fixed gaming or work desk.
  • Users who want per-key RGB lighting and are comfortable using Razer Synapse to customize lighting and keyboard functions.

Real-World Use Scenarios

  • In games with frequently used commands or ability rotations, a player can assign actions to the six side macro keys and trigger them without reaching for a software shortcut; setting them up requires Razer Synapse or on-the-fly recording.
  • For gaming or everyday typing at a personal desk, the Green switches provide an audible click and tactile bump with each press; that feedback may suit users who like a pronounced keystroke, but the sound may bother nearby people.
  • When switching between PC gaming and general typing or work, users can keep a full-size keyboard with a number pad on the desk; an owner reports using the V4 X for both gaming and everyday work, while noting that its Green switches are loud.
  • While gaming or listening to media at a PC, users can adjust volume or control playback from the keyboard’s roller and media keys instead of switching to another app or reaching for separate controls.
  • For a gaming setup where visual customization matters, users can set per-key Chroma RGB effects and use supported game integrations to coordinate lighting with gameplay; supported effects vary by title.
