Does this keyboard have the windows button? Do both run off one usb plug? Does this run on windows 7?

Sorry to say, I only purchased this set for the 'mouse usage only'...so I do NOT know if it runs off of 1 USB or 2. I can say, however, that it DOES work with Windows 7, so there is no incompatibility there.

CAN I ADJUST VOLUME AND BRIGHTNESS ON THIS KEYBOARD?

No this is a standard 102 key keyboard, no special features included, sorry.

can I use rechargeable batteries in my mouse. the model is gear head kb5150W. I have a rayovac charger. what size rechargeable batteris can I use. I thik it says 2.4 on bottom of mouse.?

Hi, The 2.4 is the frequency the mouse uses to connect to your computer. The battery size is "AAA"and there are two batteries for the mouse and two for the keyboard. I don't see any reason why you cant use rechargeable batteries, however battery life is very long in the mouse and rechargeable batteries could better be used in devices that have shorter battery life.
