No, the keyboard uses Membrane switches.

Is this keyboard mechanical or Apex? I'm hoping it's mechanical as they're more reliable and responsive. Especially for that price if it's Apex count me out even if it looks awesome.

They're Membrane keys so they are responsive as a mid to top end laptop keyboard. In my opinion the keys are very nice but not quite as responsive as mechanical switches and they also lack the satisfying "clack" sound the mechanical boards have.
