Question 1

I OWN A K90 AND LOVE IT, HOWEVER I WANT MYBRILLIANT "BLUE" LIGHTS BUT WITH THE BLACK BOARD. THE VIDEO CLEARLY SHOWS "BLUE" LIGHTS" EMITTING FROM THE K95 BLACK BOARD, BUT HERE IS THE KICK.....WHY?  THE ADS, BOXES, ETC...ALL SAY "WITH BRILLIANT WHITE LED LIGHTS"? 
PERHAPS THEY ARE TINTED BLUISH IN THE VIDEO FOR EFFECT, OR PERHAPS A B LUE REFLECTIVE MATERIAL REFLECTS INTO THE LIGHT STREAM...BUT I AM CONFUSED NOW. WILL I EVER BE ABLE TO GET A BLACK BOARD IN K70 OR K95 WITH ACTUAL "BLUE" LED? I THOUGHT IT WAS A SALES KILLER BECAUSE THAT ASPECT IS ACTUALLY (AND I STRESS) THE "ONLY" REASON I HAVE NOT YET BOUGHT THIE K95. I DO "NOT" WANT WHITE LIGHTS THAT LOOK WHITE, NOT ON A GAMING BOARD, THAT'S WHAT MY LOGITECH K800 IS FOR. THANKS, GLOCKMAN30  LEWISVILLE,TX.

The lights on the K95 are not blue at all. They are 100% bright white. To be honest, not having colored lights was something that had me considering another keyboard as well, but after I decided to pick up the K95 anyway I have no regrets. They keyboard itself is excellent. The white lights look really nice, and one plus about having white lights is you can change the lights to whatever color you want. I made an easy, non damaging modification by removing all the keys and putting a small piece of colored tape on the underside of each key I wanted to tint. Now the 18 macro keys, and all of the keys to the right of the enter button are bright orange. I also ordered the optional red textured FPS keys from the Corsair website and made them glow orange, too. I love it because you can't even tell it was modded. It looks like it came this was. And if I ever get bored of the orange, I could easily remove the pieces of tape from the underside of the keys and make them white again, or replace the tape with a different color. I tried to put some picture links up here but Newegg doesn't allow it. But yeah, even with the white keys it looks great. Pictures and video don't do this keyboard any justice.

Question 2

I'm going to be purchasing this keyboard along with an expensive gaming mouse in the near future. My question is, Should I buy extended ADH warranties for them? I have read horror stories about customer service when it comes to claims fulfillment for both Corsair and Razer.

I wouldn't Buy another Razer product.... I used to be a complete Razer fan but the products they are selling vs the cost, performance and reliability are horrible (especially the Ouroboros)...I use the Logitech G600 and it is very nice and a 3rd the cost. As far as the K95... I have had it replaced under warranty once due to the leds going dead ..They did replace it promptly and it seems that they have addressed and fixed this issue that was commonly experienced by many that owned this keyboard.

Question 3

I was wondering if this keyboard was RGB backlit or is it stuck to just white back lighting? Thanks for the help in advance!

You can mod the color by inserting a small, transparent colored acetate film inside the key. Use a single-hole
punch to create a hole to fit over the small column inside the key. You can buy Grafix Clear-Lay assorted colors from Blick art materials for this. You can use red, green, blue or yellow.

Question 4

Are the letter keys programmable in this keyboard in terms of function, (not lighting)? or only thee "macro keys on the left side?
I dont much care for those far to reach macro keys so i would like to   know if the main keys can be programmed.  Thanks

It takes a commitment to change your keyboard habbits to fully take advantage of the macro keys. it would be the same as if you committed to using a game pad for your left hand: Odd to start with, but much more powerful than standard keyboard placement.

Question 5

Okay, I really wanted to be sure about this.  Is this keyboard 100% mechanical switches?  Even the G macro keys and F-keys?

I watched the video about the K90, and it said the F-keys and the G macro keys are Rubber-dome switches.  Is the K-95 FULLY MECHANICAL--every key?

The G and F keys are. The little round buttons at the top of the board are not.

Those little keys to help you manually program the keyboard don't even work though. All programming must be done on a windows machine using their software. Not a linux or bsd machine. And their software is a pain to find online. It is not like you plugin the keyboard and it automatically recognizes the keyboard and installs the application like it should.

will it work, including macros, on a Mac OS X?

Probably not. The software is spotty on windows and I've never been able to get the keyboard to do the macros I expected I would have no problem with. They kept saying the next release until I gave up and quit gaming. Now I'm exclusively on linux and they say you can't even program stupid macros, or anything at all, unless you hook it up to a windows machine. I expect it is much the same with the macintosh. Corsair has fine mechanical keyboards but they have not figured out how to do the software. They need to double or triple their efforts with the software side of this keyboard.

Check the manufacturer's website ;) Also, shop around...I do not consider this price to represent a sale price. Generally, things that are selling themselves don't get put on sale for Cyber Monday or whatever but occasionally you'll get lucky.

i dont know which keyboard is better for its price, a razer blackwidow ultimate or a corsair vengeance k90. which do you think is better for games and everyday tasks?

I have the k95 which is a better version of the k90 from Cosair (which I also owned). I cannot recommend this KB highly enough. For gaming or programming, it's probably the best keyboard ever created. The k95 lights up every single key on the KB (unlike the k90) and all the keys are mechanical Cherry Reds which mean they depress with a minimum of effort and make the least sound. The programmability of the k95s 18 "G keys" is total, absolute and quite easy- you can make them do anything you can think of. What's more you have 3 banks of those keys available to program , for a total of 54 custom programmed keys and THAT is just ONE profile of which you can very many, I am not sure if there is a limit to the number of profiles you can have. Typically profiles are on a per application basis. The quality fo the board is through the roof good - it's very easy to clean (the keys are physically raised well above the aluminum base ) and of course you can adjust the lighting in terms of color intensity and I think on the k95 on a per key basis. This is as good as it gets; I can't even think of something I'd change about it or add to it. In fact, I'l probably buy another one or two next year  just to have them in spare should Corsair horrifyingly decide it wants to stop making them- good products sometimes disappear from the market and then you can't get them anymore :( Perish the thought.
