Can I use my current mouse or do I have to buy another mouse?

Without knowing what your existing mouse setup is, it is hard for me to precisely answer the question.  I used my existing mouse with no trouble, it is a wired USB mouse that connects directly to a USB port on the computer.  I don't believe there is a USB port on this keyboard.

Is this Keyboard very loud?

Makes no noise whatsoever.. The colors can be changed and lighting increased and decreased. If you plug it directly into a USB on the computer it will turn off when you shut down. If the USB stays on the KB will not shut down, you then turn it off by holding the button down for a few seconds. I also purchased the tri color KB also very quiet.

Question 3

I see on the package it shows yellow letters yet the 5 colors are not. So...are the yellow keys for real or just advertising?

The yellow is a greenish-yellow rather than a bright yellow. More like glow-stick in Mt-Dew kind of color. Its not my preferred look.

While I'm not about to throw it out the action on the keys is somewhat jerky. I find I get more miss-spellings because I hit keys that just don't go all the way down. The olor is decent and after a year ony the center of the "A" has worn away.

How long is the wire?

Not long enough....5'. Of course, you can hook up an USB extension like I did so it would reach my computer cockpit for gaming. I don't know why keyboard manufacturers go cheap on the cable length.

Question 5

Does this come with the wire to plug it in the tower or do you have to purchase a usb cable?

Yes, the cable is included. It just doesn't show in the picture. The cable is integrated into the keyboard and you plug it into the USB port on your computer.

Is this keyboard comfortable if I do a lot of typing?  Also, how is the noise compared to other keyboards you've tried?  Thank you.

very quiet.  smooth keys.  spacebar is slightly lower than the micosoft keyboard I was using and the esc key is slightly higher .. so any new keyboard is going to take some getting used to.   there is a "wrist rest" part that is pebbled and comfortable. 
I really like this keyboard and the colors are multiple and adjustable.  And can be turned off.

I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Is the cord replaceable?

One of my sons told me about this keyboard as a possible gift that he wanted.   He has never said anything bad about this keyboard.

This may sound like a dumb but is the palm rest detachable? If so, what are the measurements of the keyboard itself "without" the palm rest?

I physically cut the palm rest off of my Azio to make it fit a pull-out drawer. I saved the front of the part I cut off and glued it to the front of the keyboard.  Looks great and works fine.  My new dimensions are 6 ¼" x 18¼" (with wrist-pad removed).

Why do they call it Tri-Color???

The picture shows the product box that clearly says 5 colors for the keys...Why does the product say 3 colors?  Does the KB505U have 3 or 5 color choices for keyboard backlighting?
