Is this mouse shaped the same or close to the same as the G500s gaming mouse?

The major difference between the M500 and the G500s, is where your thumb rests (under the up/down scroll buttons) on the M500. It seems the form at the bottom of the mouse comes out a little bit more on the 500s. It doesn't appear to be too much of a difference from my perspective. But both mice appear to have the "ergonomic" form factor, with a few minor differences (mainly on button placement) in the 500s.

Is the scroll wheel an actual tilt wheel? As in, you can scroll to the sides like in the Anywhere MX?

Yes! You have to install Logitech Set Point. Really great mouse.

will this work with iMac?

Absolutely! I use Logitech mice with all my Macs.

Has anyone used this with Windows 8? Does it work with Windows 8? Specs only mention Windows 7.
