My rough measurements were 95mm X 58mm X 32mm.  By comparison, my Dell USB mouse is 120mm x 60mm x 30mm, so the Logitech is a bit shorter.  I like the fact that you can store the USB receiver inside the mouse when not in use.  I use mine with an HP EliteBook 8560w (Windows 7) and a Dell XPS 12 (Windows 8.1) and it works fine with both of them.

yes there's a dongle in the battery compartment, it is stored there when not in use with a laptop. mine is always installed in the desktop.

Is this a blue tooth compatible device that I can use with the built-in blue tooth on my Dell XPS8500 without using the usb receiver? My Targus wireless mouse is true blue tooth.

NO. This is not a blue tooth mouse. It is a USB with a micro USB receiver that plug into USB port o the system.

I got two mouses (Logitech M185) and none of them work: I put on the battery in the right polarity. I plug in the USB thingy to my computer and my computer installed the drivers (it showed a message about loading drivers).  I turn ON the mouse and yet it doesn't work.  I have a Windows 7 and 8 laptops. It doesn't work on any of them.  I had other USB wireless mouse and it work fine, but now is broken.

I am surprised to see others could make it work.  I replaced the battery twice and used a battery that was working on the other mouse.  No solution.

What else could be wrong?

Hi Delper,

Why don't you try turn on the mouse first, then plug in the USB connector, wait for the system finish install the mouse, usually windows tell the user that the device is ready to use, then it will be fine. If the above still doesn't work, try to install the mouse from the device manager from the control panel. If that still doesn't solve the problem, try to check if there's any windows drivers on Logitech web site, install the driver first, then turn on the mouse, then plug in the USB connector...

Is there a receiver with this mouse?  My mouse won't work with the old receiver.

Typically yes. Though I will say the unit I received was DOA, so I have no way of knowing whether or not the included receiver actually worked.

By the way, return shipping costs more than the mouse does.

It means that when you unplug the mini transceiver, and put it into the little compartment in the belly of the mouse, you would not have to worry about losing it, because it is safely tucked away in the storage compartment, instead of laying somewhere on your desk or on the floor or in your laptop bag.

Inside the area where you put the battery is the dongle that you plug in a USB Port...Put your battery in and turn on the switch on the bottom of the mouse...It will automatically load the driver and notify you the device is ready to use.

Open the mouse, take out the USB dongle and plug the dongle into your computer.

Make sure battery is good and installed correctly.

Make sure switch on bottom of mouse is set to on.
