Every reviewer commented on the poor quality of the cord. Are they replaceable?

To be honest, I haven't experienced poor quality with the cord. It is a bit thin and could stand to be beefed up, but at this price you can't expect much. As long as you don't yank the thing you should be fine. Having said that, unless you are an electronics engineer the cord isn't replaceable. And paying someone to do that would cost more than the cost of the headset. I'd still buy these again in a heartbeat, though. The sound quality is excellent.

Being that the headphones have 108db. How good is the bass for music with a lot of it? Looking for something that jam out to with metal,dubstep,rap,ect.

These are good headphones for speech and music. The bass is good, but not at high db levels. Moderate level bass is fine.

I listen to a wide verity of music and looking to upgrade from my skullcandy uprocks, would these be a good price to performance ratio?

I have no experience with Skull Candy. I find these headphones to be comfortable and very nice to listen to full range of music. I think the Sennheiser name speaks for itself as far as fidelity. I thought this was a very nice price point.
