Question 1

How many of the buttons are programmable and how many are fixed?  E.g., is the DPI button fixed?

I believe dpi is fixed but there are 4 different presetting 3rd one works best for me, n on button, I haven't used the software that came with it for while, I used it for gaming but I don't have a lot on PC anymore but every button is programmable except the left click, but u can flip it I believe if your right click to be left n wise versa also, lights changes it has different profile lets me n my brother both had different setting on clicks when we played battlefield n call of duty, n weights are awesome on top of it n price tag is more impressive, I been using it for long time n not a single probalem, its still going good,

Is this better than my Razer Deathadder? I got it free and not sure if i should use it instead.

I like the M8000X for certain features. You can lift the mouse off the pad without losing a heartbeat. But like the rest of these Chinese mice, they have a tendency to fall apart. The rubber sides are coming unglued, the left click sticks after release and I'm on my 3rd set of feet after a year. Cheap feel. On the bright side, It's pretty quick in response time, satisfying results in fps games. Glides when properly weighted. Wheel has short stiff stroke, wheels' side touch is nice. All buttons still respond after 1 1/2 yrs.
Umm, I like Final Mouse 2016 Tournament Pro better than the two. M8000X is a good spare.
