LOADING...
The beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y is a foldable, closed-back wireless over-ear headphone with 45 mm drivers, ANC, and up to 90 hours of battery life (60 hours with ANC on), suited to listeners who want long-lasting everyday headphones for music, travel, and commuting.
Recommended For
- Commuters who want active noise cancelling for traffic and transit, plus long battery life that reduces how often they need to recharge.
- People who wear over-ear headphones for extended listening sessions and value a comfortable fit, foldable design, and fewer charging stops.
- Listeners who switch between a laptop and smartphone during the day and want multipoint Bluetooth for moving between those devices.
- Owners who prioritize long-term maintenance and want replaceable battery and ear pads rather than treating those parts as non-serviceable.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- On a noisy bus or train commute, a listener can use ANC to reduce chatter and steady background noise, making music easier to hear without turning it up as much; some vehicle noise may still come through.
- In an open-plan office or shared study space, ANC can soften conversations and continuous background sounds, helping the wearer focus while listening at a moderate volume.
- During a multi-day trip or a busy week of regular listening, the long battery runtime can reduce how often the headphones need charging; a short charge can also provide extra listening time when the battery runs low.
- When moving between a laptop and phone, multipoint lets the headphones stay connected to both, making it easier to switch between laptop audio and phone use without repeatedly pairing.
- At a station or while waiting outdoors, Transparency mode can let announcements and nearby sounds through without removing the headphones, though it may not make longer conversations fully clear.
- For music listening at home or in a quieter room, users who want to adjust the sound can use the companion app’s EQ to tailor the listening profile; reviewers found EQ adjustments useful for changing the out-of-box sound.
