The Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) are over-ear Bluetooth headphones with Bose noise cancellation, Immersive Audio, and up to 30 hours of battery life (23 hours with Immersive Audio). They suit listeners seeking immersive sound and long-lasting wireless listening for commutes, travel, or everyday use.
Recommended For
- Frequent flyers and train commuters who want to reduce engine rumble and surrounding conversation while listening, with a foldable design that is easier to pack than many full-size headphones.
- People who work or study in noisy shared spaces and want strong noise cancellation plus an Aware mode for hearing announcements or nearby coworkers without taking the headphones off.
- Hybrid workers who regularly switch between a laptop and phone and want multipoint Bluetooth, comfortable over-ear listening, and clear calls in everyday settings.
- Listeners who want the option to connect by USB-C for wired music or video playback at home or at a desk, while retaining noise cancellation.
- People who wear headphones for long listening sessions and value plush padding and a comfortable fit for travel, work, or listening at home.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- On a flight or public-transit commute, a listener can use noise cancellation to reduce engine rumble and surrounding hubbub, making music, podcasts, or quiet listening easier to follow.
- In a shared or open-plan office, someone trying to concentrate can use noise cancellation to make coworker chatter and ventilation less distracting; it reduces, rather than guarantees removal of, all nearby sounds.
- For watching a film or video while traveling or at home, Cinema Mode can make dialogue and effects feel more spacious and movie-like through the headphones.
- During a long listening session at home, work, or on a trip, the over-ear fit is designed for extended wear; reviewers report comfortable use over long periods, though fit can vary from person to person.
- On a work call from a home office or moderately noisy location, the built-in microphones can keep speech understandable while reducing some background noise; very busy surroundings may still be audible to the other person.
- At a desk, a listener can connect the headphones to a compatible device over USB-C for wired audio, including when they want to keep listening while charging.
