Question 1

How big is the USB cord? I've had bad experiences previously because the cord was too short to comfortable reach my rig.

Placement, placement, placement..where is your rig, across the room?  The cord is long enough for any normal set up and to be honest, I would move whatever I had to in order to make this mouse connect, it is superior.

Question 2

Does this mouse have programable LED's integrated in the mouse?

There are no programmable LEDs on this particular model.  The only LED that I can remember (as I don't have this mouse anymore) was the orange-ish one that was underneath the scroll wheel.

I was a little disappointed by this mouse because the scroll wheel died about 3 months after I bought it.

Question 3

Ok.. so I am using a Logitech G9x, which is starting to have some issues after nearly 5 years of heavy use, and is no longer made so you cannot get them new for a reasonable price. Has anyone gone to this mouse from the G9x? I am wondering about comfort when used to a mouse as unusually shaped as the G9/G9x.

I've not owned a G9 but I do deathgrip my mouse sometimes. Note that i have big hands therefore the following only applies to you if you have big hands. The mouse is a very handy mouse and I love it! my only problem with it is that it doesn't fit inside my palm. So the inside of my hand may hurt. To compensate some of the pain I use a mouse pad with a wrist rest to suspend my hand above the mouse to minimize the pressure.

It is sufficient length for normal hookup distance. I do not know the length but it is not too short.
