does this printer have the capability to scan documents into my pc?

No. It is not a scanner, it is a laser printer.  
The "duplex" feature is to allow double-sided printing (front and back of the same sheet of paper).  The networking feature allows you to hook it up to your network and print from any system on your network (as opposed to having to plug it directly into your PC).

Wifi?

No. Only USB and Ethernet 10/100BaseTX (RJ-45). Other models support WiFi printing. I prefer Ethernet because it's fast, efficient and not prone to WiFi interference problems.

Tower cartridge's how many and what do they cost for each one???

Like all color lasers, 4 toner cartridges: 1 each of cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

Brother lasers generally feature fairly inexpensive toners, and this printer is no exception.

Standard-capacity (TN-310 series) cartridges are currently about $50 each for the three colored ones (yield is about 1,500 pages) and $40 for the black (yield of 2,500 pages).

High-capacity (TN-315 series) cartridges are about $75 for colors (yield of 3,500 pages), $80 for black (yield of 6,000 pages).

That makes the high-capacity carts a good buy (and less plastic in landfills), since 1.5 times the $$ gets you 2.3 times the pages (color) and 2.0 times the $$ gets 2.4 times the pages for black.

I actually got rid of a very good and reliable printer (well-known brand beginning and ending with "X") because the toners were so expensive that I realized I could buy a new Brother printer for the cost of a single high-capacity cartridge for my old printer!

In my experience, it does not pay to buy anything but genuine new toners, since I depend on my printers for my work, and one ruined drum or botched print job would more than offset the "savings."

Does it do postscript?

Brother BRScript is a postscript emulation.  Some Brother printers are licensed for Adobe Postscript but I don't think this one is.  I use it primarily with Linux and the setup is for BRScript.

No. There is no scan bed. It is just a printer.

Seems like a stupid question, but with the prices of the cartridges listed here, I have to ask.  Does this come with the 4 toner cartridges?

Seems to me if the toner runs out and it's $170-$250 to replace the cartridges, it makes more sense to just buy a new printer.

I  am pretty sure it comes with four starter toner cartridges. I can't answer 100% as I haven't used the 4150 yet as bought it for transport to new house as it was on sale.

My five year old HL-4040CDN came with 4 starter toner cartridges.

My last laser printer dimmed the lights when it printed. How may amps does this printer pull?

On average it will pull between 5 amps and 6 amps at 110V AC if the temp is close to 75ºF, However amperage will go higher the colder the room is or the higher the fixing time or paper thickness. You should be safe if you can support a 7 amp draw.

Will this printer handle 110 lb. card stock?

We just used some in ours- as long as you manual feed from the front tray one sheet at a time, it works just fine!

We end up using the larger capacity cartridges, the nice thing is that Brother does not change there cartridges every 6 months like the other big competitor does. An I believe almost all their models use the same cartridges.
