Question 1

DOes this camera have a memory card? I see suggestions,a re they for extra memroy or do I need top purchase memory card?

Mine did not come with a memory card and the manual indicated it would support up to a 64GB card which it does but, when I purchased a 64GB PNY SDHC card, the camera would see it on boot up but when you went to record or take a picture it would have a NO SD error message on the camera.

From what I read online I had to manually change the format of the card from ExFat to FAT32 for the camera to see and use the card.

In Windows 7 there is no FAT32 option and when I tried issuing the command from the DOS prompt using the USB connection to the camera it appeared to be working but error-ed out after an hour of setting and me remembering FAT32 was limited on drive size.

After trying several recommend methods and programs some wrote from the WEB to format larger drives to FAT32 I found a free version of EaseUS partition master, which I already had, did the job in a few seconds and the camera indicates it has 64GB available and so far I have had no issues.

Question 2

I purchased the camera and the 64gb card is not reading in the camera but reads on my PC.  What gives????  Any suggestions?

Question 3

In the initial unboxing and setting up process I've noticed the waterproof cap covering the mini USB charge port seems to be blocked by the door. I tried moving the door so I can charge while it is still in the case with no luck and you can't remove the door as it is permanently attached.
Has anyone figured out how to charge this device while still in the case?

With a little tug you can get the cover off of the camera, and see the mini-usb port through the hole in the waterproof case.  Unfortunately, the provided cable doesn't fit.

Does this come with the remote control unit?

It does not come with the WIFI remote.  In fact you can't even buy the WIFI remote from Newegg...   If you can, I can't find it.  You can purchase it from other sources and you can control from smartphone.
