Is the "auto renewal" mandatory or optional (can be turned off) like the current product?

I am almost 100% positive that you can turn off auto renewal at any time.  I think most of these software subscription models want you to set up "auto renewal" so  you will likely forget when the time comes and you will just renew the product.  But I think Symantec considers turning off auto renewal as cancelling your subscription; so be careful of your timing.  I always mark my calendar a year out when I start a new software subscription anywhere so I know to either start looking for another sale, or to be ready to cancel a day prior, or so.

Question 2

There are two new features: Secure VPN and Dark Web Monitor.  Can I turn them off for now until I need them?

Yes, as with most features you can have them off.

The VPN is not good at all for some applications. If you play video games or other programs that require a constant internet connection you will either not load in to it, or get constantly booted. I even tried looking at my network settings to see where the issue may lie.

Question 3

can I buy this now and install 4 months later?

If you activate this new license key before your current subscription expires, you will lose whatever time is left on your current subscription. So there are actually two options available to you:

(1) Activate this new license key one day before your current subscription expires, or
(2) You can add this new license key to your current subscription without losing any time on your current subscription by calling Norton and speaking with a customer service representative. They will manually add your new subscription time to your existing subscription. If you have more than one new 1 year subscription to add, you have to wait at least 100 days after your added a year before you can add another year. At least this was the policy in 2021 when I last added years of retail purchased licenses to my existing Norton 360 subscription and avoided the full price auto-renewals.

So it is safe to buy several one year subscriptions at this great discount price which brings the cost of Norton 360 down to reasonable levels rather than the price-gouging auto-renewal price.

Question 4

My PCs currently have Norton Security Premium installed.  Do I have to remove it before installing Norton 360 Deluxe?

Question 5

Has anyone else found the VPN less than satisfactory because it sometimes keep you from being able to access sites found by "Google Shopping" by reporting that a "site can't be found"?  When I turn VPN off, don't have this issue.  Thanks and be safe.

Yes,  I find that many sites are not available when VPN is on.  You can not even do business with it on.  Everyone thinks you are a fraud.  Norton antivirus is fine, but the VPN is useless.

If I purchase this can I wait till Feb 2023 to install it?
