does this work on non smart tvs with  a hdmi port?

I have used the Push2TV with several displays including HDMI input TVs and Projectors. It appears that as long as the display device can accept 1080P input, it does work. The best quick test that I have used to determine compatibility is if the HDMI display device works with a Blu-Ray player (displays menu from player, not protected content discs), then the Push2TV works.
Be aware range is limited - about 10 ft in my experience using Miracast (don't know about WIDI), and resolutions will dynamically degrade to maintain connection beyond that.
Where I have found MAJOR problems is in trying to connect it to VGA converters to use older VGA projectors. However, that does NOT appear to be the fault of the Push2TV device.

Question 2

Would this work with a projector with HDMI ports?

I haven't tested this out on a projector. But I would assume it shouldn't be a problem as it's worked on 3 different TV's I tested at home.

The only thing you may have an issue with would be sound.

Also, the lag on this device is almost a one second delay at times. So keep that in mind if you are using it for professional presentations.

I have so far enjoyed the product and don't forget to complete the firmware update.

Also, the product works great with Miracast (Android phones), the Intel WIDI can be buggy at times, but for the most part works well.

can I use this on my galaxy s4 mini to my tv ?

If your phone supports Miracast, it should work.  It also works with new Intel Windows laptops.  It is called Wi-Di.  A friend of mine used his Samsung phone with it.  I don't recall the model.  I used with a Dell Android tablet without any problems.

Question 4

I am currently using a Rosewill N600PCE Wireless card with a Windows 8.1 desktop. Would this set up be suitable to broadcast to the PTV3000 via miracast? Would I need a new wireless adapter? Is it worth it to even bother?

Not positive that will work. The graphic card needs to support miracast. I know some Nvidia cards support it. I use push2tv with android devices (Nvidia shield and galaxy s5)

will it work from a 23 inch desktop pc?

This device outputs the picture through a regular HDMI cable.  If your TV or monitor receives an HDMI signal, this will work.  That said, the reception on this is fairly poor, and it can drop the connection.  I've used mine with my Sony Vaio laptop to wirelessly transmit the picture and sound for a movie to my large format TV.  At 20 feet away, it works, but is unreliable (it works for ten minutes or so, then disconnects).  I don't know how well it would work if you were closer.

Will this work with the latest kindle Fire hd 7  that does not have a HDMI output ?

how much signal does this require from my router.  A bluray will not work?

Not positive, but I think it has its own wifi signal, so it takes nothing from the router. Pushing a phone at 1080p is not the smoothest experience I have had.

No, Push2TV does not work with apple products. Apple has some wireless products that allow connecting to your TV. Hope this helps.
