Will this stack neatly with the AC1200 like it does with the AC1900?

It will not it is designed to be used with the ac1900 so the feet on the router will fit into the little indentations made for them  however this is pretty flat and I'm sure it would look fine with the ac1200 sitting on top of it even though it wont match up perfectly

Hi, I am planning getting the  ASUS RT-AC87U Wireless-AC2400 Dual-band Gigabit Router. And was wondering if this would work along side it..? I plan on using the asus router dual wan to use 2 ISP providers one 100MB down/15mb up and the other will be 100mb down with 5mb up. I might upgrade one of them to the 500mb plan haven't decided yet.. But I want to know that this switch will indeed support up to gigabit speeds and will indeed work with other routers aside from the linksys wrt1900. I know the asus one is bugged but my brother has one and built a custom firmware that has better reliability and zero bugs.. Only reason why I am going with the asus router.

Yes, the switch will work with any router, as will any switch. Yes, you will have 1gigabit speeds. However, there is a bit of knowledge I'm going to pass on to you. First, a switch will always give the speeds quoted for all the ports. Before switches, when hubs were used, your speed was divided between the devices connected. Switches don't send broadcasts to all devices, instead it sends to a specific device. With that being said, you do not need 2 ISP connections. You only need one, as the bandwidth isn't deminished because of multiple devices. Rather it's deminished by total bandwidth in the house. Upgrade one plan, and ditch the other. Also, about the gigabit speed...that only applies to transferring data within your network. You can send a file to another device, or stream from another device at gigabit speeds. Your ISP speeds will not be faster. I have the WRT AC1900, and it's probably the best home I've seen in a long time. The Asus AC 2400 is great, but it's too far in the future to even benefit now. Do you have wireless network cards that handle that speed? Remember... That's transfer speed. Don't dismiss the Linksys router just yet...

If I use this to connect to 2 wireless routers, a server and some desktops of mine, can I port forward? Because my modem only has 1 ethernet port.

Simple answer is yes ! On these all the ports are "open" making them very capable of port forwarding and I actually have six of these connecting my whole home network as well as security systems and have been able to use port forwarding on all of them
