This unit is currently being advertised as a smart switch by Newegg, but I see when I click on the Q&A link that it's labeled as unmanaged.  Which is it?

This is standard, high end equipment.  This works with anything that meets the Ethernet standard.

I have a gigabit internet connection coming into my house, I would like to preserve as much of that speed as possible as it exits the switch.  Do I need this switch (SG102-24-NA) or the SF102-24-NA?

The SG102-24-NA is a much better switch. It has the SFP fiber Uplinks for connecting more than one switch. It also has jumbo frames which will preform faster. The forwarding rate is also a lot better on this switch. The SF102-24-NA Has no Uplink ports and is a lot more basic. To get the most out of the Network I would recommend the SG102-24-NA. I have this in our business and it has been working great!

Will this switch support a cisco voip system?

Most likely No.  A Cisco vlan typically requires QOS if you have both Data and VOIP on the same network which this device is not capable of.  Also VOIP phones need POE which this device doesn't have, you can use POE injectors to resolve that problem. If you are adding VOIP to an existing network you will need to get a managed switch.

What does the NA mean in the model number?  I already bought one of these but it doesn't have NA in the model description.

If you are asking that question, you either don't understand what the product is or are looking at the wrong type of product.  Use google and you will find the manufacturere's specs at the Cisco web site.

Can I use the miniGBIC ports to connect to a router and a second switch, giving me 24 ports per switch to connect client devices to?

You can use the miniGBIC to sonnect to another miniGBIC port on another switch.  I haven't tried to connect it to a router so I'm not sure if that will work.
