Cons: * Only wireless n standard that will not use 5.0GHz, which excludes use of Nvidia shield streaming on the Nvidia game zone in the future. * Many 3D games on Play store do not work with the Tegra 4 yet. *Power connector is poorly implemented, which does not lock into place and is at an angle. *Banding of the IPS screen when in certain conditions of light. *Not usable in sunlight, as screen is not bright enough. *Not impressed with battery life

Overall Review: I was only able to use this item for 2 weeks before it would no longer turn on, or charge. I was very disappointed in Nvidia store and apps. Maybe in a year or so they will be up to speed, but for now they overhype their technology. It may very well be to promote their Nvidia shield sale only. I am a gamer through and through and had high hopes about this product for gaming. Not only can you not use Nvidia Game Streaming technology, a few games I wanted to purchase on the play store were not compatible. Some were older titles and and should have been updated. So as a gaming tablet, I rate it at no more than a 3 of 5. For everything else, it is very fast and has a good screen to surf and watch videos. I bought an open box and maybe that is why I had issues but I don't think so because it worked for 2 weeks prior to the failure. The mUsb needs redesigned. It needs to be straight and need to lock with the cords. Benchmarks were fast due to a lower resolution screen. Do not think that it is the fastest processor out there. On Higher resolution screens it will slow down significantly. So keep this in mind with what you want to do with your tablets. I will keep my opinion about Nvidia neutral for now, but this was a very disappointing experience, so I RMA's the product for a refund so that I can get an ASUS T100 Hybrid tablet. Which runs full win 8 apps, Then I will be able to stream all of my STEAM games to my tablet if I want to...I think Nvidia missed the boat. I love EVGA products but this fell below the mark, due to Nvidia.

Pros: -Fast processor -Good build quality -Good battery life -Good screen -DirectStylus -Good audio -USB OTG -MicroSD slot -MiniHDMI -WiFi is really good -Near-stock Android DirectStylus is a neat little feature, and I think it has the potential to replace the need for active digitizers. The stylus on this tablet feels solid, and should since it's mostly metal. The drawing is pretty cool, though the Tegra Draw app is somewhat limited. The app included for notes is called Write (available on the Play store), and seems to be one of the best options, though it's going to take some configuring to make it suit me. This is the main reason I bought the tablet (student, taking notes in class), and I think it's great for that. The battery life is good for a tablet. I got around 8-9 hours of active use before I had to charge it, and that included always having WiFi on, about thirty minutes of heavy gaming, video playback, and auto-brightness generally not going below about 40-50% brightness. Build quality is a lot better than I was expecting, since it's all plastic. It feels extremely solid, and the only reason I set it down carefully is because I want to not scratch the exterior. However, the MicroUSB port does seem fragile, so I'm going to be careful whenever I plug something in to it. Audio is great. I tested it using Bohemian Rhapsody, and I didn't hear anything that sounded "tinny" like some reviews have said. The song was a little quiet even on max volume, but I think that's the video, as others videos have been plenty loud without max volume. WiFi works wonderfully. I'm able to get reception in almost all of my classes,

Cons: -Stylus has a rubber tip that takes a little getting used to -Screen could be brighter -MicroUSB port does seem a tad fragile -NVIDIA servers don't immediately see that your device needs an update (may take a couple days to receive update) Both tips of the stylus will take some getting used to, as the fine point of the writing tip gives some (it's rubber after all) and the eraser end has to be completely flat to be recognized as the auto-eraser.

Overall Review: The battery doesn't take overnight to charge. It takes about 2.5 hours from dead. That's because it has a 4100mAh battery and a 2A (2000mAh) charger that slows down after 80%. I timed how long it takes to charge from dead, and it took approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, give or take a couple minutes. The screen is only 1280x800, but the pixel density is 215ppi, significantly higher than my 141ppi gaming laptop ($1700, FHD 1080p). In my opinion (so feel free to disagree), this is more than enough. Consider the fact that the standard size for laptops is 15.6" but the standard resolution is still 1336x768 (720p, 98ppi), and that even the Macbook Pro retina display is at most 227ppi. I'm just saying. As far as colors and brightness, they seem to be on par with my FHD gaming laptop screen, though the screen seems like it could have a slightly higher maximum brightness. 1GB RAM, from what I've seen, is going to be plenty of memory for almost all situations, and this will improve once the tablet gets KitKat. On my Tegra Note, I have two users. Now, I can have several apps running in the background on both users, including heavy use games, and not see any problems. The only reason I see to want 2GB of RAM is because 1GB sounds somewhat low, but not for any real usage reasons. Overall, this seems to be one of the best tablets on the market right now. As always however, it isn't perfect, but some of the "improvements" that could be made are ones that we want because we always want more. Of course it could have a better screen, processor, battery, etc. But so could anything else.

Pros: I have been looking for a tablet like this for a long time. I wanted a smaller/lighter substitute for the Thinkpad with wacom stylus that I was using for note-taking, brainstorming, and casual sketching. I was also not particularly keen on spending >$500. The overall build quality of the Tegra Note is good. There is a bit of plastic, but the table doesn't have a "plastic-y" feel. The general performance is very snappy. I was a bit wary of the 1GB ram, but the performance is very good. The near stock Android OS is very much welcome. True that the DirectStylus isn't an active stylus. However, from my usage, it seems like the DirectStylus supports 85% of the functionality of an active stylus. The handwriting support is very good. Line thickness corresponds to the size of tip used against the screen. There's a VERY slight delay between the pen stroke and the appearance of the line. The delay is so slight that I fail to notice the delay when I'm actually engaged in taking notes during meetings or developing ideas. The Tegra Write app does a good job with handwriting. The Tegra Write app *can* identify the broad circular end of the stylus as an "eraser"; however, that identification is a bit unreliable. I've settled on using the Papyrus android app for handwritten notes and drawing. Papyrus actually identifies the DirectStylus as an active stylus. The line thickness responds nicely to width and pressure. I've configured a single finger heavy press as an eraser. This way I have quick access to handwriting and eraser without manually switching tools. Also, Papyrus can share pages to google drive as PDF - which is great

Cons: As others have mentioned, the micro-usb port is the achilles heel of this tablet, which is quite unfortunate. The micro-USB port is built into the tablet's surface. This leaves the micro-USB port more recessed than other examples. It takes a little more inspection to determine the correct orientation when you're trying to plug into the micro-USB port. The male end of the supplied micro-USB cable must be slightly longer than usual. When I the supplied micro-USB cable, the micro-USB connection is noticeably loose. When I use another micro-USB cable, the fit is more secure. Regardless, the micro-USB will require a little more attention.

Overall Review: Purchased with 32B micro-SD, tegra magnetic flip cover and pro stylus. The flip cover is surprisingly useful. In summary, very happy I got my Tegra Note.

Pros: - Stylus is responsive and accurate - Buttons are easy to find, and push - Micro HDMI, micro SD support - Fantastic and powerful sound - Incredible processor, plays games like a dream

Cons: - The screen quality, although for the price you have to expect that - At times, the device can't tell when the stylus is in/out like it should - Again for the price this is to be expected but the front facing camera is so bad it's not worth using.

Overall Review: Overall I love this thing, I use it everyday for both work and play. The stylus is what ultimately sold me rather than having to spend twice as much to get the Galaxy Note tablet. It fits nicely in one hand and you can write with the stylus; very natural feeling. Pressure sensitivity and the eraser are all nice touches as well. Has a good weight to it, but I am concerned with the actual sturdiness of the tablet. Things run smooth, and I've never had an issue with this locking up, freezing or anything. The first unit I received was faulty (but EVGA got me a replacement in 6 days!) I am not too sure of the actual build quality here and I was worried at first, but the replacement is running like a dream. Not all who bought this would say so, because the latest Android update to KitKat killed a lot of the functionality. If you do buy this tablet, remember; DO NOT UPDATE. My replacement shipped with 4.3 and that's what I'm sticking with. Lots of people with these tablets had lots of data on their micro SD cards. For those who aren't in the loop, the latest Android update has pretty much rendered SD cards useless leaving valuable data on a card that can't be read by the tablet, nor can you write anything new to it. Seeing as the main focus of this tablet is gaming, that's extremely disappoint. 16 GB will only get you so much. There have also been reports of poor battery life and other issues with the update. Until EVGA provides a fix, just keep all this in mind when you boot it up for the first time. The price is right and the corners are cut where you expect (screen, materials used, etc.) but blows lots of tablets out of the water in other areas (processor, sound, stylus functionality). It's not a device I would recommend to all my friends simply because it is not something that appeals to everyone. I gave it a 3/5 rating because of the latest OTA update ruining some of the reasons you might buy it in the first place, but I feel it's a 4/5 device.

Pros: Relatively light weight Good speakers Stock-ish Android Screen is better than reviews make it out to be, crisp and clear! Battery life is accurate at ~9hours of heavy use UI interaction is FAST Games perform very well on high settings Highly recommend the screen cover accessory, it really gives the tablet a nice finish as well as functional stand.

Cons: Could use more storage, but SD card remediates that. A 3g/4g radio could make this the Nexus 7 slayer, but no dice. The pen tech is very adequate for $200, BUT it can be finicky at times.

Overall Review: I'm going to be hacking mine into a PwnPad at some point but I'm still letting the newness of the system sink in, getting used to it and trying to pick out any flaws that I may come across. Will be testing WiFi pentesting and bluetooth keyboard/mouse interaction after flashing a linux build onto the tablet. The little bit of pen input I've used it for has been accurate. However, don't press too hard on the screen with the stylus. This may be capacitave technology, but it is no Wacom tablet.

Pros: Very few app compatibility problems. When I see bad reviews for certain apps because it's not compatible with their latest and greatest tablet, it's usually a safe warning for me to ignore with this tablet. OTA updates are timely. I like how the graphics look just as good on my TV with the hdmi out. Games run great, apps run great.

Cons: The external design is the major drawback. When I first got it, I was seriously afraid the screen was going to pop out of the plastic casing. In fact, with all the creeks and noises it makes, it still makes me nervous 4 months later. This tablet is very uncomfortable to hold for long periods. The dippled back panel looks nice, but it doesn't do enough (if anything for grip). It's like trying to hold onto a smooth rock. The back of the tablet is magnetic which I haven't found a use for yet, and that's probably adding a bit of weight. The beveled edges just grind into my joins making it worse. LOL. You have to increase your grip pressure and that was giving me BAD tendonitis in my fingers until I applied a decal sticker to the back. But that pretty much solved the problem.

Overall Review: I chose this tablet over the 2013 Nexus 7 because there wasn't anything outstanding about the Nexus. The thought of that purchase had the excitement of buying a new toaster. You've probably already compared the specs, and looked at the benchmarks, so you already know this is a no contest in the hardware that matters category.

Cons: The Tegra Note stopped detecting the stylus after two days. I have followed instructions to disassemble and reassemble the stylus and restored factory settings, but still no detection. The stylus is still accurate and a joy to use, but receiving a faulty product hurts my customer loyalty. I am also frustrated that I apparently have to PAY SHIPPING to RETURN A FAULTY PRODUCT.

Pros: DirectStylus, HDMI port, Snappy response, Stock Android, bloatware free, External Storage. Wireless HDMI support. Able to turn off touch completely. Loud front facing speakers.

Cons: Low internal storage for a game-focused tablet. Broken strokes on stylus use.

Overall Review: This is a very speedy tablet, everything feels very snappy. Couple of specs that have probably deterred consumers from getting this tablet was the screen resolution and ram. I think this has been blow out of proportion because of comparison to other similar sized tablets. 1280 x 800 on a 7" is still pretty good, there are top end 10" tablet still releasing 1280x800 this year, and in comparison to Nexus 7 2013, the differences is not really visible. Another lacking feature being talked about a lot was on board 1 Gig RAM. Even though Tegra Note performs well with 1 Gig of RAM, the decision to include just 1 Gig is a little puzzling. The cost for 1 Gig of ram is really minimal and it would make specs-conscious shopper feel a little at ease. The internal storage could be a little larger, I wish there was a 32G version available, with the size of games these days, you could use all the storage you could get. Especially you no longer able to move apps to SD, I'd like to see that feature make a come back. Camera was one of the talked about feature from the manufacturer; However, I did not find it particularly great, it takes about a second to focus, with today's quick snappy camera found on Samsung, HTC and iPhones, I don't think it'd would be my go-to camera, but it isn't a deal breaker. I, being an artist and designer, the DirectStylus was the reason I most looking forward to try. The first app I install when I receive the tablet was Sketchbook Pro. My initial reaction was very disappointed. I thought the pressure sensitivity didn't work at all because it was so subtle. Over the weekend, I played with setting on its brushes and result was so much more promising. Some of the brushes I could actually got it to work as well as the Wacom equipped Galaxy Note if not better. Unfortunately, there's some kind of hiccup with stylus. The strokes broken in the mid stroke and got pick up again while the pen was never lifted off the screen. This is a major annoyance! All the tweaks I made to the brush setting makes no differences if the stroke breaks beyond my control. It doesn't really hinder everyday use, but I hope this is a software glitch that can be fixed, otherwise this useless to an artist. I think DirectStylus is still a little rough around the edges, although it's incredibly responsive, and it's remarkable that Nvidia was able to shrink capacitive stylus to such a small precise tip, it will probably take some time to mature, if software developers can get behind this new technology, making the pressure level a little more sensitive, maybe develop a conductive tip that doesn't feel so squishy like you could possibly breaking it if you pressure too hard, and most of all, fix the broken strokes (it seems like a software issue). This technology could find itself challenging Wacom and N-Trig for stylus-equipped mobile devices.
