Pros: Bright screen with beautiful color reproduction. Thin and lightweight for a 10-inch tablet. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. Nice audio output for a tablet. Great performance for everyday tasks. Smooth video playback. Nice extras like IR blaster and expandable memory via a micro SD card slot.
Cons: Cameras take very poor pictures. Performance with 3D games could've been better.
Overall Review: This is not a high-end tablet... not a successor to the original Galaxy Tab 10.1, but it's a very good tablet for those who don't need (or can't afford) top of the line specs, yet don't want to be stuck with just the basics. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: Shiny, great screen colors, smooth OS, SD card slot, great battery life, and a processor that can keep up. Graphic heavy games like Bloons TD 4 get a little laggy on level 75 and above, but that's common on most mobile devices for this game.
Cons: SHORT, Proprietary charging cable (Really, Samsung? Why?) - Fortunately it works well with a USB extension cable with no noticeable lag in charging time. Internet gets laggy/jerky when navigating between pages. Can't watch most Flash media without jumping through the usual hoops.
Overall Review: I use this tablet for media consumption, note-taking and casual games. It does what I want, how I want, and with what I want. Thank you Android market. The only thing better than this would be if Bezos & Co. fixed the Fire to be a REAL tablet with (side-loading etc) AND made their Prime ecosystem available. A girl can dream, can't she...?
Pros: *IR Blaster works great in controlling all my A/V in multiple rooms with multiple profiles. (using included Peel app) *All the great Android apps work well on this tablet. *Long battery life for listening to music & web browsing. (1 week+ between charges YMMV) *Light weight. *Decent speaker/sound quality.
Cons: *Proprietary charging plug (would have preferred USB/MiniUSB) *MicroSD limited to 32GB
Overall Review: Cons listed above are extremely minor. Other reviewers complained about slow charging times or not charging during use. When plugged into the supplied wall socket adapter, it charged fully in about an hour during constant use. If you're not using the wall adapter and plugging into a standard usb 1,2 or 3 port, of course, charging will be slow to none. Be sure to plug into the latest usb port types that are made specifically for charging devices. (denoted by a lightning bolt symbol, and not to be confused with Thunderbolt)
Pros: VPN Support not available on other tablets. Expandable memory. Android Ecosystem Gets more responsive and just better with each update
Cons: Android Ecosystem Not the best tablet for the money unless you NEED VPN connectivity native
Overall Review: The is an excellent tool for those looking for an Android Tablet for work. Power-users that need to be connected 24/7 will appreciate Android's widgets and the unique ability Samsung brought to their line of Android tablets supporting VPN technologies. For those that are looking to watch movies or play games, and don't need to connect to an office for work, this is a decent "budget" 10.1 inch tablet.
Pros: 6 Months old now, no problems, has constant use, fast, great screen / picture quality, easy to use, love it
Cons: None
Pros: Nice Screen size. Wife loves it
Cons: none
Pros: Fast, functional, and fun. Sleek look with excellent screen. Great battery life. Easily Rooted! Capable of HDMI output with adapter. Samsung Quality. Sports an OMAP TI dual core ARM CPU not as fast of course as the Galaxy Note 10.1 but for the price it is much better then rest.
Cons: Requires a addition HDMI cable adapter which adds to the over cost if you wish to watch/stream video to the big screen, but can share thru DLNA or Media Hub is you own a Samsung Smart TV.
Overall Review: I have used many Mobile devices and Samsung definitely appeals to me with Quality, Look, Customization, and even Price if including the whole product line.
Pros: 10.1" screen size, great audio quality, light weight, good finished craftsmenship in fit and form, functions quickly and had a nice bundle of software. I REALLY like the Polaris Office software, works great with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Sweet! This tablet, for me, had the best bundle of features, quality, speed, software, storage with microSD and viewing pleasure to lay down the bucks.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: There are many paths to choose from in picking a tablet. I think the "bundle" statement I made above along with the customization Android 4 is capable of is what helped me choose this path. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
