Are the units sold by Newegg directly "Manufacture (samsung) Refurbished" or 3rd party/in house?

Beautiful screen, good sound, software better than Google's. WiLL NOT.Work correcetly with external 64 GB SD card.  Some serious bugs in the kernel (Linux).  If you do not mind chasing the patches, its a fantastic tablet.  If you expect it to work off the box,  forget it.

what exactly does "refurbished" mean ?

Refurbished means they take a tablet that isn't brand new and repair or replace anything that is required to return it to a "like new" state. Such tablets could be demo units, or they could be ones that people purchased but returned for some reason. The refurbishment can be done either by the manufacturer, or by another company that specializes in refurbishing electronics.

A refurbished product will be less expensive than a brand new one, and may come with a warranty. It may even be the same warranty as a new product. This will vary from one case to another.

As for my personal experience, I've purchased several refurbished electronic products and all of them have been good quality and worked perfectly. It can be a good way to go provided you are purchasing from a reputable manufacturer (which Samsung certainly is) and from a reputable retailer (which Newegg certainly is).

Do the Samsung 8.4 refurbs come with a new battery as the refurb ipads do?

A factory refurbished unit is indistinguishable from what a new unit should be. My experience supports this definition exactly.  The t320 is an excellent device.  Much better than any other I ever had.

would this pad be able to take a t-mobile sim card?

The one I purchased through newegg (I believe the page you inquired through), does not have a WLAN card, so it won't support a sim card from any carrier. You need one with the WLAN modem, either from T-Mobile or an unlocked GSM model.  Hope that helps.

What accessories would I require (or would you recommend) if I wish to connect my tablet to a digital projector with a VGA male cable?

The tablet has HDMI output, so you'll need a suitable adapter.

Does this include a 90 day warrant or 1 year...The product page indicates 1 year?

Other resellers offering this model as a refurb are only offering 90 days. I think Newegg is in error here.

How can I tell if this or any of the Galaxy Tab's are 4G and if they are, do I just call my provider (Verizon) to get connected?

This model does *not* offer 4G. It is highly unlikely that refurbished units with mobile connectivity will be offered by anyone but the mobile carriers.
