Pros: WOW! -Fast for the size that it is -Comes with Restore disk, Driver disk and Restore image on HDD -Power Cable nice and compact -Webcam is a plus but it's not the best -Comes with a 160GB Western Digital Blue Scorpio HDD -Keyboard is nearly full size -Has a Underclock setting for better Battery life -Can run any OS really, even OSX and Windows 7 -Upgradable to 2 GB Memory at 667 mhz (read other thoughts to see how) -Price is set at just over $300 (Thanks Newegg) -Great Support from Wind forums and blogs MSI did it right by not selling this to other companies to have it re-badged and rather they are selling it directly and at a much lower cost The Pro's outweigh the cons big time. Cons: Not bad at all very minor things. -Mouse buttons small and stiff and touch pad kinda small leads to cramped hands after 3 hours -HDD is tad on the loud side, but fast Read/Write times -Would be better with a faster graphics processor. -Drops frames in True HD 720p try it on Youtube -Battery life is under 2 hours on low brightness and about 1.5 hours on full brightness (buying a 9 cell soon) -No DVD Dive (No Netbooks do anyway, but I use an external Samsung slim DVDR DL drive and works great) -Turbo mode can only be used while plugged in (See below about Turbo Mode) -Keboard although big, layout a bit weird The Fn key is on the outside of the Ctrl key so copy and paste can sometimes be tricky and the ,./ keys are kinda cramped *My only big con really* Built WiFi card is junk. Overall Review: This thing screams with more memory. The memory is upgradeable to 2GB but it has 1GB built in and so to upgrade you need only one 1GB stick PC2-5300 (Don't buy a 2GB stick it won't read it at all) Turbo mode is engaged buy hitting Fn and F10 the power light becomes orange when done. This can only be performed while connected from what I have read the CPU is underclocked to save on battery and safeguard against the Atom CPU. Turbo mode unleashes the full power of the small CPU. you can really tell it works by trying to watch a video on youtube and watching it in high-quality mode (make sure HQ not HD) and toggle the Turbo on-off you'll see it going from a bit choppy and dropping frames to smooth and no dropped frames. This Netbook is one of the best out there, the case is very well designed and well ventilated and the ability to to run multiple OS's really gives it a edge. Newegg Shipping was superfast had it ground shipped and in one day this thing came to my doorstep 5 out of 5

Pros: The MSI DHC is awesome (only works with newest BIOS, it is MSI SUPPORTED!). It auto-un-over-clocks (lol) itself when you are not on AC power which I actually like because it is fast enough on its own for basic usage. Photo Editting seems to work pretty well. I haven't even gotten the 2 gig stick of RAM yet so I am clocked 25% up on the stock RAM. I did update the BIOS and that went perfectly. Some of the reviews complained about the touch pad but it is better than I expected. It boots in seconds and came with minimal garbage that needed uninstalling. I just shared the DVD drive of my desktop and used that over the network to install stuff. I can't hear the fan at all and it produces very little heat compared to our Acer. The battery life is good for 3 cells, acceptable for my use. It does have Bluetooth, I didn't even see that in the Newegg add. Build quality is MUCH better than I expected. Very sturdy and solid but still light. Excellent product.

Cons: The laptop is a little thicker than I expected but just barely. The touch pad cannot scroll at all, its ok, but i do miss it. Twice so far I have accidentally touched the touch pad and my cursor has jumped to where the mouse was but i do that every so often on my other laptop too. The cntrl and fnc keys are swapped from what they should be but its not so bad.

Overall Review: Touch typing is acceptable. I am doing it right now. I actually like the keyboard a lot more than some other small keyboards I have used. Overall A, very happy with my purchase. Scrolling, wireless N and a few tiny keyboard tweaks would have made it an A+.

Pros: The laptop is a great little laptop. It is small and very portable. The screen is fairly bright and the keys arnt too bad to type on

Cons: Right out of the box the left click mouse worked but then with in about 5 minutes it stopped working and hasnt worked since. I called newegg on it to get it replaced and they said it was going to take 4 weeks to replace it.

Pros: I looked into Netbooks very hard to see what I wanted. Not only what I wanted but what could they do/handle. I can't say anything first hand about other available netbooks other than this one has a keyboard I can use and a visual dispay I can see. Otherwise, it's faster than I expected and works wonderfully.

Cons: Honestly haven't had any yet. This thing is so tiny yet a full computer, not some PDA/fractional computer. It's a full computer at a reasonable power for the money by far!

Overall Review: Key's take a little famililiarity, I mean very little. VS most *netbook* class I have had my hands on, it's really good. Keys are bigger than most but not entirely like a full computer. For you Geeker's: I'm going to create at thumb drive for Vista, Windows 7 and XP just to have and play with. Very cool if you have the right tools (not much really) to make this little guy boot off just about anything. I'm enjoying it very much so far and have it running as domain controller as a web server as an SQL server with the latest and greatest MS DEV tools. How many over you guys had to write code while waiting for your kid to finish soccer practice? I'm thrilled...honestly! So far my only real issues are I expect to it keys that are not in the same location and I keep getting a wireless status saying I've dropped out or what have you. Yet, I haven't moved. Will work with it. ;)

Pros: Right out of the box, it worked perfectly. I couldn't test the wireless, because our work has the wireless internet blocked to 'alien' computers. I installed Ubuntu Linux 8.04 from a USB Flash Drive with no problem, it found all the devices and are working as designed. So dual booting at startup.

Cons: The grouping of the arrow keys with the return and shift are kind of crowded, but should not be a problem after a few days usage.

Overall Review: Still researching on the "breaking the warranty sticker" to add the additional 1GB of RAM, but seems to be working with no problem. GIMP still flies and Ubuntu starts up in under 30 seconds.

Pros: Compact and lightweight; fairly powerful; RAM is 667 MHz instead of the typical 533; easy overclocking in the BIOS

Cons: no documentation; lack of hardware consistency (see below); lack of options on restore DVD (single partition or 20 GB, 30 GB, or 40 GB boot partition with the rest being a secondary - no disk utility with formatting options as on the Windows retail discs); no wireless drivers on the restore DVD (turns out this is because there are 3 different wireless cards - see below)

Overall Review: This is a great supplement to a desktop if you also need something to take with you - it's by no means powerful enough or high resolution enough to be a primary computer. My biggest gripe is the lack of consistency (and accurate information) among the different versions. For instance: (1) MSI's website says they all have 533 MHz RAM, but most forums have indicated that this one has 667. (Sure enough, Windows XP recognizes it as 667.) (2) They all share the same case - this model doesn't have bluetooth, but it's got an indicator light for it anyway. (3) Within this model (the -641US), there are 3 different wireless cards and no way to tell in advance which one you're getting. The Ralink and Realtek cards have drivers available for Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32 and 64 bit), and even Linux and Mac OS X should you decide to go that route. The Atheros has only an XP driver and no info on any updates - guess which one I got. Since I installed the Windows 7 beta, I had to buy a USB wi-fi adapte

Pros: - 1.6 GHz Atom processor is fast, low heat and low power consumption. MSI BOIS factor OC to 8%, 15% or 24% which puts it at just below 2 GHz. It also has speed step and hyper-threading which is nice for limited multi tasking. Temp good to 90C/194F. - 1gig memory upgradable to 2gigs at 667 MHz which is a little faster than most comparable netbooks on the market. - Non glossy screen. Inside or out you will notice the deference. - Function (Fn) key controls a wide range of functions: Screen brightness, Volume, Sleep mode, Web cam, Wireless, and Turbo OC. -Keyboard is not bad to use. Good size for how small the dimensions are.

Cons: - Battery life. Less than 2hr - Speakers: Low quality and Volume on some programs tops out to soon. Hard to hear some movies. It comes preinstalled with Realtek HD Audio Manager so what I did to help with this is went into the EQ settings and topped the sliders all out. This gives you about a 10% to 20% boost in volume but can cause distortion on some programs that don't need additional volume so be sure and keep it turned down till you need it. Nothing I didn't already know. Do your research.

Overall Review: This little guy surpassed my expectations. I play games on it all the time: Morrowind, Diablo2, Fallout Tactics all the classics. I have seen on YouTube people playing Half-life 2, GTA IV, WOW, Guild Wars and so on. Just do a search for "MSI Wind U100" on YouTube and check it out. Adding ram is easy. You have to remove the whole bottom which is no problem. There is a sticker over one of the screws that says “if removed it will void the warranty”. This is not true if you only upgrade the ram and nothing else. Don't just take my word for it. Get a hold of MSI yourself if it will make you feel better. Kingston ram works the best and is the most stable with the Wind for OC. Check out the forums at "forums.msiwind.net" to answer all you questions.

Pros: Very nice overall. Impressive speed for what it is. Very peppy until I loaded all my applications and data.

Cons: Speakers tinny. (Expected); 160GB HD partitioned into 100GB & 60 GB. 60GB has OS; I quickly filled it before moving "My Documents" to larger partition. HD developed errors after 2 days. (Fixed with Spinrite) Customer service person was impossible for me to understand. Had to download Synaptic driver for touchpad to disable "tap to click."

Overall Review: MSi should start a "chat" function for help. (Would eliminate the accent problem.)
