Can hdd be installed in keyboard?

I don't think so- when I detach screen I still have the same volumes showing so I think drive is in screen. BTW screen dimming and power off are linked in power options which is really suckey. other than that I like unit, U mite try asus support. there is a usb port on keyboard

Is this the model that has the 500GB hard drive in the keyboard/dock?

As far as I know, the 500gb model hasn't been released in America. Hopefully Asus will sell the 500gb keyboard dock as a standalone item, for those of us who would like to upgrade.

This unit has a 32 gb  solid state disk, it does not have a hardrive
you can add a SD card to increase memory and load your files it will save space ms office takes up alot of memory.

There's a full-sized USB 3.0 port on the keyboard dock and a micro USB 2.0 on the tablet itself, which seems mainly to be used for charging.  (I've never connected a peripheral via micro USB 2.0 but should be possible?)

Discovered Asus T100 refurbished models come with MS H&S Office software installed but NO activation code provided.  So you need to by a $139 license to use it.  Thus making it cheaper to just buy a brand new T100 w/64gb for $399 and get full return and warranty options.
