Pros: -Amazing Screen
-No input lag
-Many options to customize colors of keyboard and accent lights
-Not too heavy even with all the power it packs
-Easy to use
-Maximum fan speed cools off the computer very quick
-Lots of ventilation for the heat produced
-Mute button for audio (Should seem like a given but trust me, it isn't....Looking at you Lenovo)
Cons: -The fans during gameplay can be loud and a bit distracting
-When the fans are on maximum it sounds like a jet engine taking off
Overall Review: Fully recommend this laptop. It will age well with AAA gaming titles because of its high graphical and processing power. Only cons are fan noise but it helps keep the laptop graphics cool under stressful gaming graphical wise, it's a necessary trade off
Pros: screen doesn't waste space edge to edge basically.
airflow is king here simply by design
love the way the undercarriage looks / is open for cooling
power and and no frills gaming beast.
small size for a 15 inch screen
pretty flat for the more powerful GPU model inside.
Cons: arrived doa for first laptop, boo SHAME! ;(
fan is pretty loud, lets face it tho. real gamers use headphones in 95% of scenarios so this is more of a gripe.
this version doesnt come in a 17.3 version, also a gripe
Overall Review: If your not into flashy lights and ant raw power for buck this version of this laptop is very likely the best bang for buck performance with a nividia model holding up against some 2080m gpu model machines on that bloated market. This laptop is that sweet sweet sexy spot where money and practicality mesh quite well.
I fix laptops that come back from gaming conventions for a living and this laptop kills any laptop of close spec setup that I have come across this year.
You wont be disappointed if Ur laptop shows up in one piece.
Pros: - Screen detail and quality are amazing
- It's quick (although I'm upgrading from and 4th gen i7 with a Geforce 840m so that's my basis)
- Build quality, I'm pleased with the build quality as someone who travels a lot I think it'll hold up for a long time.
- Control center is easy to use and makes updating drivers a breeze as well as re configuring the LEDs.
Cons: - Speaker could be better.... Plug in a set of headphones and you'll be blown away from the Nahimic setup though.
-Outer case is mostly metallic which seems great for durability
-The screen is crystal clear and have had no pixel issues after shipping
-The amount of memory storage is absurd a 512 GB SSD and 1 tb hard drive is ideal for gaming and work if need be.
-RGB is super customizable and fun to play around with
-Fast CPU which makes doing multiple tasks a breeze
-The metallic surface seems to smudge and cleaning it is harder than expected
-The fact that an over clock is basically required kinda of sucks.
-The fan is extremely loud, even louder then I thought it would be after reading the reviews
-Keyboard is smaller then a typical one. My fingers seem to over reach keys after being on my desktop
-The way the laptop hinges doesn't seem the most durable. It doesn't feel weak, but it isn't as strong as a laptop with the hinges closer to the sides
-There are a lot of forced features and apps pre-installed
Overall Review: This laptop seems to good to be true. I haven't had a problem with it yet, knock on wood. I would recommend to people at this point, but I haven't actually done a lot with it just minor gaming with things that it would have ease running.
Once you get past some of the minor cons the pros list greatly out weighs the cons. The laptop is sturdy and well built and has already survived multiple car trips. Seems to be fast and efficient. This is by far the best laptop I have purchased in my life. Blows MSI out of the water IMO.
Pros: Extremely powerful video card
Light (only 5 pounds)
Good speakers (for a laptop)
Cons: Loud fan when playing intensive games
Overall Review: This is an absolute beast of a gaming laptop. This is my first ever gaming laptop and I am NOT disappointed! 5/5 eggs from me.
Pros: Keyboard is very satisfying to type on.
The machine feels very sturdy and the vents on the sides and back look very good.
The zone lighting is fun to mess with and change the color combinations.
When under intensive gaming, the there's virtually no heat on the top nor bottom of the machine. Fans do a great job of keeping the machine cool.
Cons: There is no instruction booklet on how to manage the Control Center.
The machine does not come with Optimus and it seems impossible to change from the GPU to iGPU when not gaming or doing anything intensive.
Overall Review: When the product arrived, the seal tape was not placed properly over the lid which means my machine could have been tampered during shipment. Not only that but the cover cloth that was around the machine was scratched and dirty. Luckily the machine itself was spotless, but this leaves a lot of concerns that has me keeping a careful eye on my laptop incase something is wrong with it and I don't like this level of unease. Purchase with caution.
Pros: -A good looking 144hz 1080p display.
-Decent RGB keyboard.
-Button on keyboard to change fan speed to two modes.
-Cooling system is really nice. Really pulls air through the system cooling it pretty nicely.
-Really nice storage options you get two NVMe m.2 slots and one 2.5 slot. Which can give you really nice storage space. Taking apart and installing new storage devices is easy also.
-The I7 8750h and Rtx 2070 have nice performance.
-The Aorus has a nice look to it.
-The 512GB Intel ssd is a nvme m.2 drive with good speeds. It is a Intel 760p Series which has windows on it.
-The 1TB hdd is a Seagate Barracuda Pro which is not bad. But I replaced it with a samsung sata 860 evo ssd.
Cons: -Fans get loud at max speed but not much of a con for me.
-Rtx 2070 performance is good but not for ray tracing.
-Wish display was 1440p than 1080p
Overall Review: I have always been a desktop gamer never wanted a gaming laptop due to desktop counterparts being better. But since I plan on going into the navy I needed something more mobile. After looking at a lot of laptops I find the Aorus 15 x9 had the best storage options and performance for a good price. After a day with it I was surprised at the performance of the cpu and gpu both scored higher in 3DMark than my I7-5820k and gtx 980ti at stock speeds on my desktop. I would recommended this laptop if you need something mobile but if you going to play at home more a desktop would be a better offer at the price point.
Pros: Excellent for gaming. I've ran FF15, Witcher 3 and a few other at top setting and it handles them all very well. FF 15 got a little jumpy during some combat but overall performed very well.
Cons: The fan is extremely loud on normal setting. The high setting is not usable for more than 30 seconds.
The keyboard is a little strange. They packed everything in to add a number pad but I don't think it's needed. I like the 3 color zones.
Overall Review: I am not sure that I am going to keep this laptop as the fan noise is too much. It's distracting to others in the room and I like to play games while watching TV at night.
