Is it possible to install a x64 operating system on this? How about Linux?

It comes with a 32 bit tablet version of Windows 8.1.  The memory is not expandable, that is likely why 32 bit was used. Based on the various drivers required for the tablet and touch interface I would doubt you would get full functionality from another OS.  I was however able to upgrade the Win 8.1 to the Pro version.

Question 2

What is the recommended stylus needed for sketching art on this tablet?

I have the 8" version of this tablet including the Dell stylus. The good news is that this version of the Atom processor seems to be good enough for sketching and OneNote, whereas the dual core version did not. Bad news is the current pen and touch screen isn't fully sorted out.. touch screen is overly touchy, pretty often double letters when using the on-screen keyboard, and the pen isn't up to Wacom (ie Samsung S Pen) standards. But it's not *bad* either and I'm hopeful Dell will get it together soon. This is a LOT cheaper than a Surface Pro or Sony Duo 11/13. Michael H, Samsung's new 12" Note would be *the* perfect art tablet if only their was a single pro level art app available for Android. Sadly, there is not and I've heard no rumors that Procreate, Sketch Club, or even Paper is going Android. Windows has Manga Studio, Photoshop, Painter, Artrage, etc etc. Oh yeah, and OneNote. No contest... I know because I have both.

Does this tablet come with Microsoft Office pre-installed?

It had to be downloaded, but it came with the key. It has Office 2013.

Does the screen's digitizer have pressure sensitivity?

Very good tablet. Best in Windows based tablets as long you don't want to run s/w like Photoshop or play heavy graphic games. Amazing 1080 resolution with close to 400 nits brightness and a quad core latest Atom processor. It meets all my requirements.

I'd like a wireless keyboard (preferably with an accounting type number keyboard and a wireless mouse.  Also, some sort of protective jacket and stand.

Any bluetooth accessory will work.

It shows that there is a keyboard in the overview, and states OPTIONAL dock, but non of the 4 pictures show a keyboard.. is that also optional, or does it come included?

Both the dock and the keyboard are optional, the only thing you get is the tablet and charger.

Question 8

The description of the product says Windows 8.1 64bit but on Dell's website it only comes in 32bit versions. Is this really 64bit?
