Is this a digitizer or the capacitive stylus type where you can touch screen with finger to manpulate screen objects?

It is the digitizer, you cannot use your finger. The digitizer pen that comes with it works very well though.

Where do I get the windows disc in case I need to upgrade the hard drive or reinstall for some reason?

You can use any W7 professionl disk. If you don't have one, you can probably get it from a friend. When you do the resinstall, you will be prompted to put in the key which is on the uderside of your computer. Hope this helps.

i've found that the overall battery life is between 2 and 3 hours, depending on use. i edit photos with mine for a good two and a half hours or so..... for a refurbished convertible laptop, the battery life actually impressed me
