I7, better. However, in most games, including the sims 4 if I am not mistaken, will bottleneck at the graphics long before the CPU, and this graphics is very capable.

Unless you plan on doing something very resource intensive, the i5 should handle well enough, and anything super difficult should be ofloaded to the GPU anyway, which as I said, is very good in this laptop.

You can definitely play those games. This laptop let's me play Watch_Dogs and Farcry3 in the highest setting possible and I'm still able to play in 60fps. Just make sure that when you run those programs they go through the nvidia graphics card not the Intel graphics.

Yes, 640 cuda core maxwell GPU with 2 gb GDDR5 Ram. Runs most games I have tried very well. Runs very well, most games can be run on high or ultra and maintain framerates above 30fps. At the very worst, you might have to turn seetings to medium or low if you want 60fps or 4k in a demanding game.

How much of the poor screen quality can be changed after adjusting the settings? What settings do you use?

Hey there, the screen even though people rip on it is not all that bad sometimes very slight pixelation when installing/uninstalling programs however it is not very noticeable. The viewing angles are fine as long as you are somewhat in front of the screen. The provided intel screen settings can be changed very slightly and only can sharpen color... however the windows 8.1 screen settings menu can change it almost inside and out. The nvidia screen settings don't really do much at all and almost seem like a gimmick.

Is this one better than or worse a MSI GP serie GP70 Leopard gaming laptop? If so any of them tell me .

Graphics wise, this puts that GP70 to shame, with about twice the graphics abilities. The rest of the parts are very similar. Think Medium settings vs Ultra settings, that is what we are looking at.

However, the 1080p version of this computer has a very bad display. We are talking crazy bleads, awful viewing angles. Now, if you use the Intel HD calibration tool, you can get a pretty good image from exactly one perspective, but shift up or down, and it will change. Still, works fine for gaming, and is not to bad as to ruin, or really hurt the experience, but it might become a problem for other types of work.

Does anyone notice a big difference between the i5 and the i7? Worth the upgrade price?

If you want it for gaming the 2.8ghz i5 is plenty. Has not bottlenecked anything yet. Might make other tasks a little faster. I'm more than satisfied with this computer. Battery is where it lacked. I kept reading 4 hours. It gets a little over 2 with ought gaming.
