Does this item come with a charger?

It does.  The laptop I received was a professional refurbishment.  The power cord looked new.  The laptop looked exactly as pictured.

How is the speed for internet and programs like media online?

It's not the time to buy it as it is Windows 7 free upgrade to Windows 10 is gone.

does it have built in wifi?

Yes. Connects fine to my home and school networks. Does not use newer bands but cant really tell difference.

The description says that this is a Lenovo T400 with an i5 2410M processor.  However, according to Lenovo's website, the T400's shipped with a Core 2 Duo processor, not a second generation i5.  Which information is correct?

Mine came with a 2540M2.6 GHZ processor.  Ram and HD were as advertised.  T420 was delivered.  Decent condition, would buy again.

Joy Systems shows 1 year parts and labor here on Newegg, but their website says 90 days. Which is it? This makes me very uneasy...

I honestly have no idea. Mine has been working strong for a year now and I am really happy with it. I also upgraded the drive to a ssd and maxed out the ram. It’s a great machine.
