I will say that I've been satisfied with this product as I've purchased 5 of them.

It is a great value for the money but it is somewhat of a bulky laptop.

It is NOT a sleek/slim laptop.

It is very high in quality as this is the most common product used by doctors offices and medical professionals.

For the money, it IS a great value.

Question 2

What does Windows COA only? Will I be able to run this right out of the box with a functional copy of Windows 7? Will I have to activate or pay any more money for the operating system?

I should have asked this question, but didn't.  COA means certificate of authenticity only.  That only means that the Windows is genuine Windows software.  When I turned my new laptop on, it went thru its process.  During this process, it asked me for the Windows security code or key.  I turned the computer over looking for this info and couldn't find it.  When I looked back at the screen, the process had continued without it.  When I tried to do the free upgrade to Windows 10, I couldn't do it.  It said my computer needed something, but didn't tell me what.  I figured it was the Windows security code.  I took the battery out and found it.  But it was scratched out and said I needed a refurbished security code.  I did a live chat with Newegg and was given a form to fill out and send back.  They said they'd send the form to the refurbisher and they should be able to provide me with the security code.  That was several days ago, and I haven't heard anything back yet.  I was told that the Windows that came with the laptop would continue to work until January 31, 2016.  I need that security code by then, or I need to fork out the money and pay for Windows.  Other than that, the computer itself works fine.  It is fast and does what I need, which is email, some web surfing and a few games.  I suspect I will not get this security code, though, and will have to put out more money.

Is it true this OS is not upgradable to Windows 10, as one reviewer noted?

It took a while to upgrade and update (lots of restarts), but I bought it this computer late august 2015 and it upgraded to Windows 10 just fine within a day or two of its arrival.

does this product include a power adapter?  one of the reviewers said his t420 not come with a power adapter.

Mine came with power adapter. Could be a shipping error.  How can a laptop be shipped without an adapter unless it specifically stated in the online product description.

I don't see a sticker with a Windows 7 product key... how do I activate windows?

Hi,
The product key is on the bottom of the laptop, you will use this key to activate the Windows 7 pro software,  when you first start the laptop. Hope this helps, take care.

Getting mixed reviews on the amount of loadable RAM.  Is it 8 gigs or 16?

Lenovo says max is 8gb, but Intel says max is 16 for the chipset that is on T420's mono.  I have 16gb in mine and it has worked fine for over 3 months now.  Search the reviews on newegg like I did and find known compatible 8gb x 2 modules.  Keep in mind second ram slot is hidden under keyboard; good videos on YouTube on how to access this slot.

Has anyone not graded to Windows 10, yet?

Clinton, this machine arrives loaded with a fresh copy of Win 7 and it works great right out of the box. Microsoft has announced that the offer of a FREE UPGRADE to WIN 10 will last at least until one full year after the release date, which was summer of 2015. So you have plenty of time.

Experience has shown that major new releases of the WINDOWS operating system often contain bugs or glitches that need to be patched.

I feel that it is PRUDENT to wait until spring to upgrade for free.

Was some part replaced like keyboard or screen?

Couldn't notice if replaced or not. However if it was, then it must be done by manufacturer to factory standard. So far, my laptop works without any issue.
