I'm just getting back into pc gaming, i don't know much about this gene. of pc's, I was wondering if the laptop I'm looking at(Lenovo Y700) is 7200 rpm or close?

The 256GB HDD is solid state so it's much faster than 7200. It is also in the form of an M2 card which is not a traditional SATA connection. The machine can support an additional drive however Lenvo didn't provide the bracket or cable. I included the part numbers and source in my review so if you want to add to the storage you will need additional parts. You can buy a bigger M2 card but they are not cheap. There are other models that have SATA drives installed so if you don't want to order more parts look at those. Same machine just different configurations.

Is the SSD m.2 or just a standard SSD?

This one has M2. There is no HDD bracket or cable included but you can order them separately.

In the product description it says its 16gb ram but while in the details its 12gb this is confusing can we get some clarity on this also there will be no 1tb hard disk along with 256 ssd?

Ordered it and asked them before I did and it has 12gb of ram 8x1 and 4x1 =12gb ram total
