Can you put Office on this and does it come with an installed trial?

Its a chrome book which runs Google Chrome OS. You can't install applications on this. It only supposed chrome extension or web based applications like Google docs or Microsoft Office online.  If you need normal PC type functionality, then this is not what you want.

Does it have a carrying handle?  I have seen videos showing this, but the U.S. version of the N22 perhaps doesn't have it?

Yes, The one I purchased has a carrying handle on the bottom back side of the keyboard (hinge side under the display). Works pretty good to carry the chrome book around.

Do Chromebooks come with Microsoft Office?

Chromebooks run Google Chrome OS which is pretty much the Chrome web browser with some basic OS functionality. It cannot run normal desktop software and is limited to chrome plug-ins and web based apps. So you can't run the full desktop version of Office on it but you can use the webapp versions of Microsoft Office just fine.

The Lenovo site says the N22  has only 2 GB of RAM.  Does it really have 4 GB RAM as advertised here?

Absolutely, It really does have 4 GB RAM.  This is a GREAT  Laptop.  Would recommend it to everyone that is in the market for this size of a computer.

Yes and they are actually decent for laptop speakers, can get louder than my old asus regular laptop.

The Chromebook ships with a charger that comes in two pieces: one is a cord with a standard wall outlet plug, and the other is a brick with a smaller cord that plugs into the Chromebook.

I don't think so.  You can use an SD card with it, but you'll want to look at a half height one as the slot is not very deep and full size will stick out. The key to Chromebooks is storage in the cloud. You get plenty of online storage with the Chromebook and all of the apps pretty much run in the cloud.  If you are looking for something with more storage, don't go with a chromebook.

There is a card reader on the left side between the audio port and the USB port.  What kind of card does it use and could this card increase the system memory?  Also can the USB ports be used to increase system memory via flash drives?

There is a lot of misinformation about this subject. Unfortunately, Dave is incorrect. The slot is actually for an SD card, not a MicroSD. If you want to use a MicroSD, you will have to get an adapter for it. In addition, the slot is only half depth which means the card will stick out quite a bit. If you search on Newegg you can find a half height MicroSD adapter. I know they make one for the RaspberryPi, but I don't know what that is. If you don't want half the card sticking out a ridiculous amount, get a MicroSD card with a half height MicroSD Adapter. Dave is correct about the use of the card. From what I have read, the speed on the SD card slot is pretty slow, so I wouldn't really use it for storage unless I was transferring files from the Chromebook to something else. With the 2 years of 100GB google storage, you shouldn't need too much onboard.
