How long is battery life without playing games?

Most professional reviews say it gets around 10 hours of web browsing.  In my experience that seems pretty accurate if I am using it constantly.  I find it uses very little battery on stand by.  My typical typical usage is mostly web browsing or Netflix before and after work, and It took me 1 day and 8 hours to reach 30%.

so is there anyway of playing games from my steam library on this nvidia shield tablet? i have been stocking up on games on steam and i was wondering since i can't find anything about steam and nvidia shield tablet being compatible

The only way you would be able to play steam games on your tablet is if you have a laptop or desktop with an NVIDIA GPU that supports gamestream. Gamestream will allow you to stream any game from your PC to your NVIDIA tablet steam or otherwise. You can also enjoy PC games on this tablet through NVIDIA Grid which allows you to stream a collection of PC games from NVIDIA's servers provided you have a strong enough internet and a router that supports the feature.

No, this tablet just connects to wifi, it does not relay the signal. They are coming out with another version of the tablet sometime later this year/next year, and it will be able to have LTE through your cell phone carrier for their monthly fee.

The Nvidia Shield Tablet has a microSD slot for memoy up to 128GB.  Nvidia also recommends using a Class 6 or higher microSD card.

does this tablet work with windows without enabling debug mode?  the previous version (tegra note 7)  required you to enable debug mode and wouldn't assign a drive letter when attaching to windows.  this interferes with some automated backup programs (usbflashcopy)
