Do these speakers have their own power cord because I can't plug anything into my monitor?

These speakers do come with their own power cord. However, you will need to plug them into the audio port in your computer. Its usually a green hole on the back of your computer.

Does this product include a remote?

No remote. Why would you even want one. I use mine with a desktop computer and they work great for me. You would be hard pressed to find a comparable set of speakers of this quality and price.

can I plug into my laptop with USB or what?

These speaker don't have a USB cable. Only standard mini jack audio connector.

These speakers do not have a separate base speaker (2.0).  If I put these next to my monitor will games vibrate the desktop?

I have owned these speakers for several years and they were so amazing as desktop speakers that I bought another pair. These speakers will not vibrate your desktop. They bass is strong, but not overpowering. I have had no problems with vibrations from the bass produced by these speakers. I highly recommend that you purchase them.

How does the bass sound? Is it good or bad?

The bass is okay, but the sound is very clear. its a decent desktop speaker set, if you're looking for bass get a speaker set with a subwoofer!

We can not get one of the speakers to work. The one that does not have the volume dial. What are we doing wrong?

Did you plug the other speaker in to the correct port?  On the back of the speaker with the volume dial there are two ports for signal\input from computers\devices and there is 1 port for signal to the other speaker.

The left speaker should be plugged in below the power connector on the right speaker.  Plugging it in anywhere else won't work.

How do you connect the Bose Companion 2 Series 3 to your tv?

If your TV has audio out with a red and a white RCA connectors, you can use a RCA to mini phone jack  to plug into the back of your series 3.  If your tv does not have RCA jacks but has an earphone jack then you can connect it using a phone jack to phone jack cable long enough to reach the back of your series 3.
